It didn't stop them calling it off against West Brazil that year when they reckoned the wind would blow the roof off.
Lets face it the fans feelings won't come first.

Just said if they aren't at The Brit by 3pm it can be called off on SSN I hear this too ... the inegrity of the FA Cup the ref has to make the right decision .... if it is cancelled doesn't this mean we go through to the next round as a bye...??

RAF- I was at the ground when the WBA game was called off and part of the Boothen roof had come loose. They had no option but to call it off , nothing to do with fan's feelings etc it was too dangerous. A huge chunk was hanging down so what option did they have? There were no fans in the ground at the time as I recall. Was there early as was having pre match meal

I was there and in the fucking ground JR, having driven up from London that morning, and that really wasn't my point to be honest, but hey ho.

I can't see it being a forfeiture, not really their fault. Would just be rescheduled

That was you was it? :-) Well you must have seen the piece of the roof come loose then and all the players standing in front of the Boothen End as the announcement was made!!!! They had no option. As it only happened about 1pm what could they do???????
Odd you were in the ground so early but hey ho as you said

I'll say again that wasn't my point. My point being that some youth above has said that they surely can't call the game off because fans are already in the stadium, I was merely suggesting that the fact fans were already there would not be a consideration when calling a game off. I'm not questioning Stoke's health and safety executive. Also it wasn't an odd thing to see me in the stadium early doors, I liked to get in as quick as I could if I was driving so I wasn't tempted to have an ale H

It's a completely different scenario so not sure what you're basing that on. The West Brom game was because the stadium was dangerous.......why wasn't say the Oldham game called off in similar circumstances to today? I'm sure fans being already there would be a major consideration as this has absolutely no relevance to what happened v West Brom 'Also it wasn't an odd thing to see me in the stadium early doors, I liked to get in as quick as I could if I was driving so I wasn't tempted to have an ale
H'
Like I said you must have seen what had happened and how the game couldn't go ahead. Has no bearing on today like I said though

Are you arguing for the sake of it or are you just fucking bored?
I was just using that situation as an example, regardless of the scenario I was merely suggesting to the lad that if the game was called off the fact that fans are already in the ground would not be a consideration whether it be that the York bus is 5 hours late or part of the fucking boothen roof is falling off!

Soi - I would just give up, RAF has always been an immature know-all, slef-opinionated twat, you can never win with him ( unles you agree with him of course, and then it's OK, but at any time 99% of sane people don't )
