that nothing comes easy, especially automatic promotion to hte Premiership !!! But what is it with Stoke and the bottom teams ??? do they just play to their competition? do they take them for granted ? 2 out fo the last 3 games against bottom dwellers and we give up 2 goals to each of them, 1 we manage to come back, obviously this last one we didnt !!Someone mentioned in a thread we need field general, not sure we have one, but i think one is needed . As i said, i dont expect to win every game, but i do expect to win the ones we are "supposed" to. Lets show the lower teams why we are in 1st place and the higher teams they need to do something special to beat us. Then i will finally realize we have a good team !!

but at the same time preston are fighting for survival, and got points off top teams in their last few games, and have not lost on a tuesday night at home for many a year,so they are no mugs.
just an off night for us, and we will see how the lads react on sunday to see just how much it affected them. At this point in the season a wake up call like last night can be for the better, and bring us all down to earth a bit and teach us and the players that nothing is a given and we have to work hard to get what we need, promotion.

agree with all the above, we can and should be optimistic, but with optimism comes realism, we aren't going to win every game.
PNE was always going to be tough at deepdale, and although i would say out of the two teams, we created the better chances, we weren't clinical enough, and it ultimately cost us.
Although i would also say the standard of refeering was shocking again. Home and Away this season we have to compete with crap officials, and although i can't deny our performance wasn't the best last-night, it doesn't help when your competeing against 12 men.
I thought our fans were excellent though, and we still out-sang the laughable pne crowd even when we were 2-0 down.
A obvious set-back, but putting things in perspective we are still in a VERY strong position, with sunday's game going to be tough, but definately there for the taking.
