Jesus Christ, I've been called a negative twat, a Pulis hater et al but the attitude of some of our so called 'fans' last night stinks of pure shit. Ok we missed some sitters and Preston took advantage of some sloppy defending , it happens. The expectation by Stoke fans in general has taken a massive turn and we expect to twat every team we play. Well in a league like this it just doesn't happen. Ask West Brazil about their loss at home to Hull. Let us not forget Preston dragged a draw out with Watford away which at this stage of the season is a great result. Ok , so we lost a game away, lets not soil our boxers. The ref was poor, no doubt and we can moan and bitch all day and night about it, but it won't change the result. The fact is Preston took their chances when we squandered ours, and the fact is some of our fans are now as guilty as the Brazil fans for getting up their own arses. We've had a good run, we need to start another and dig deep for Sunday, because in my opinion it's going to be a harder game at QPR than it was last night and I'm reckoning the result could be pivotol to the rest of the season. The saving grace is that Fuller didn't get booked, but I do wish he would stop being a mard arse when it doesn't go his way, it does him no justice whatsoever. One question, just why did we bring Gally in if we aren't going to bring him on until it's too late? we know what he can do and after last night we know what Mama can't do. Still top, big game on Sunday, I'm disappointed, especially after driving up from London and not getting back until gone 1 , but a loss away at Preston isn't as drastic as some make out. As Ted pointed out yesterday, I'd rather have the points than the games in hand. As for the text warriors, I reckon most of them weren't even at the fucking game. Best wishes to Cort, hope he makes a speedy recovery.

You mean we are not invincable ??? Well I never did Get on with it you retards on p&g, it's only us Stokies you make look stupid. The players will put this behind them so should the "fans" 'Twas a typical Preston / Stoke match in my view. I would have been surprised to have come away with anything. If that makes me "justafan" again, so be it. You can't win 'em all

Some people seem to think we're going to win every game and romp home. Bollocks! They'll be plenty of twists and turns, lets just hope the players keep their nerve better than the fans.
On the subject of Pulis, hats off for what he's done this season but he got his substitutions horribly wrong last night. Also it was a travesty that Dickinson was dropped last night after his Ipswich performance. Rant over........

RAF, i guess it is a measure of how far we have come this season that fans are like they are. there are plenty of twists and turns to be had yet, and while last night was dissappointing ,we have to remember the results preston have been getting of late, and other teams around us have been dropping points. by 4.45pm saturday it could look rosy again and we will know what we have to do sunday. we came back well after the defeat at charlton and i am sure we can do so again. i imagine those that phoned P+G last night with their knee jerk reaction possibly feel a bit foolish this morning.

Nice one Raf.
The only thing for sure in this league is that every team will drop points all the time. I believe a draw at QPR still keeps us on course. Before Christmas we'd have been delighted with the play offs, but now our expectations have been raised. And rightly so.
Take it you were the Raf from London on his way back on Praise & Grumble last night. And I thought you were a cynic! You summed it up perfectly in 2 words on the Radio: dunner worry!

I just this morning did the BBC Championship Predictor for the remainder of the season. I had us losing to QPR, Norwich and Watford but still getting an automatic spot at the end of the season. We have to look at the wider picture and not to panic when we actually lose. We are in a tough patch of fixtures, but after the Watford game in my opinion we have on paper a decent run-in. Let's just continue to support the manager and team.
TP said the other day that we will have blips but do not get too deflated when we do lose and do not get to euphoric when we win.

Yep that was me. Just hearing some of the people coming out of the ground saying stuff like ' This is my first match for ages and I'm fucked if I'm going again , what a waste of money' etc etc prompted me to ring in. I have been one of Pulis's harshest critics , and a fair bit negative over the last 2 seasons, but I am also a realist and recognise when good work is being done throughout the club and I'm more than comfortable acknowledging it even if I have to eat some of that humble pie people bang on about. It's time to sit tight, cross our fingers and hope our players have the metal to regroup, from what is lets face it, a minor setback in the whole scheme of things. Brazil and Watford have experienced hiccups and I don't see what makes us any different. I bet the Bristol fans are pissing themselves after some of the posts on here yesterday predicting that they would slip up sooner or later. We need to concentrate on what we are doing and let other people worry about their teams.

I think the main issue is that there are plenty of opportunities to make slip-ips and drop points between now and the end of the season, its the truth that the team as well as the fans should have rightfully expected to get something against a team at the bottom of the table, especially when we have as much to play for as they do.

Well said RAF. Agree with it all. Absolutely no need to panic. Bristol City, Watford, Brazil and, yes even Stoke will lose a game between now and the end of the season. It is the reaction which is pivitol. 3 points Sunday please

The thing is, even if Bristol, Brazil or Watford win on Sat, we will still be in a healthy position going into Sunday against QPR. A win against them (not guaranteed or expected by some of us!!) and we will be back on top!!! A defeat and we will still be in a strong position to consolidate the Play Off position or still push for automatic!!

QPR is a very tough fixture but we have come up with the goods in games that we haven't expected anything from in the past. I firmly believe the lads have enough in them to win at Loftus Road
Fingers crossed!!

Didn't hear any radio etc, i've just checked on here and i'm shocked.
Fans moaning about last night!
Yes it wasn't our best, the finishing was none existant, and we ran out of ideas,
BUT we matched at least matched our opposition.
Not many teams leave deepdale with a win, but with a bit of luck we could of won by 2-3 goals.
Bad day at the office, get over it.
We are top of the league! Roll on sunday 11 games to go, 33 points to play for.
