Clear from the start that he's not one of Tone's 'favoured few'. He actually said he 'hadn't seen much of him' when he signed. Presumably he was taking the advice of Rudgie or Coates. As a result, as predicted, we're not seeing much of him. Such as shame as I, for one, can't think of a better supply line for Fuller. Or a better player to raid from the left for that matter. So come on Pulis. You've done a lot right this season. Now please swallow your pride and start Gally on the left on Sunday. The lad is class and he really could be the catalyst for sealing promotion this season.

I agree Gallagher needs to replace Cresswell but I don't think Fuller could argue with his supply line at the moment. 3 missed one on ones tonight lay testament to that.......

Why? The tracking back? My fear is that Pulis's insecurity/stubbornness could cost us again. Let's hope not.

Can't believe our Tone brought on Parkin before Gally - I doubt he'll make that mistake again.
Parkin was pants whereas Gally looked quite sharp

Tonights defeat was more about over reliance on Fuller and his misses...aswell as a below par performance all round.
It was just the same against Scunthorpe in the first half...lack of motivation.

It wasn't only Ricardo that missed. Shawcross and Cort both missed free headers in the 6 yard box and Delap/Lawrence missed the sitter of a lifetime between them.
And we did hit the post twice and have an absolute stonewall penalty turned down.
We just had one of those nights when we were never going to score.
Life goes on and we're still top of the league

The originator of this thread also has similar worries....but for me the secret to our success is to dump Sidibe and change our tactics to accomodate this.

cresswell is not a winger... he cant keep control when he makes runs down the wing and hadnt got any major bal skill... he is a striker therefore be played as one...... Gally far better choice..... Striker or nothin is what cresswell should be

Mumf is right. Gally in the hole to replace Sidibe would be the thing. Left wing would still be a problem though.

Did anyone see how well Paterson held the ball up for Scunthorpe when the ball was played to his feet....Superb.
The best player on the night for me....A big mistake letting him go...and that's from Me...A Rimmer.!!

????????? I've already said he's not his man and therefore can't bring himself to play him. And there you have Pulis's Achilles' heel: his pig-headedness. The same is true of his persistence in playing Sidibe and bringing on Parkin. He simply won't admit to a mistake
