.......and really frustrated by all that happened. I sat in the Preston End and believe me they were worried throughout - the catalogue of our misses really defies some belief, and the failure of the referee to book fouls on Fuller on two occasions was laughable. After the injury to Cort the game inevitably lost all shape. It was one of those nights - we were not unlucky because we missed our chances. In truth Preston were lucky that we missed them. We were still composed and generally we looked good. I guess I wish we had been shit and had won 1-0. My only issue with the manager is that I really think Gallagher with his quick feet would be more threatening than Cresswell playing in that left wing position. We'll get over this - it should have been so different.

The utter wank ref didn't help procedings. And how Lawrence and Delap managed to fuck that chance up I'll never know!

Prestonstokie...I agree with your summary of the game. It was hard sitting in the Tom Finney stand. I banged my hands together when they scored, but put my gloves on so it didn't count as clapping!
