What's the full squad James?

If that is true that is good news James. Let's hope if he makes the bench that he gets a few minutes on the pitch! At least he will be match fit - he will have played more games than any other Stoke player this season I should think?

Don't know the full squad- I just know Ben is travelling! It doesn't necessarily mean he will be on the bench, but he must be pretty close.

Cheers, it'll be interesting to see if TP trusts him on the bench or not.

Yeah Diego has been in every travelling party so far but has yet to make the bench but the experience will do him good

Two quotes: "Young winger Ben Marshall has been named in the Stoke squad travelling to Aston Villa tomorrow." "The call up doesn't necessarily mean that Marshall will figure in the matchday eighteen, but does prove that he is highly regarded by the management. "

We always take a squad of around 20 players to games. Arismendi often warms up with the match squad but doesn't appear on the bench. Its still good experience for them to get used to big crowds

He couldn't be no worse than Delap on the right.

Should be a great experience for the lad, specially for such a big game such as Villa. GOARRNN Marshall.

Yes, he is in the squad. However, that squad might be 21 players, or it might be 18. On the face of it, he is probably unlikely to feature but it is the first time he will travel with the first team.
Surely it is worth a mention? The same happened with Nat Wedderburn when we played Crystal Palace away in 2007. He travelled with the first team (a feat which was well documented) but never actually appeared on the bench.
Well done Ben.

Thanks Knowles, I think it's worth a mention. I didn't even know he'd come back off loan! Anyone else done the same (other than Davies)?
