As per usual, London Underground is half-closed this weekend. There is no Circle Line so one obvious way from Euston - walk to Euston Square, get the Circle to Notting Hill gate and change for the Central to White City - is out so the Victoria to Oxford Circus and then change looks the best bet. The District Line is also mostly closed if you're coming from a different direction, like me. See www.tfl.gov.uk, the Transport for London website (I never get the links right!) for details. If I set out from Croydon at dawn I'll probably make it by half-time. I'll be the one wearing the anorak!

If you're going from euston best way is still to walk to euston square get the Hammersmith & City line to Shepherds bush and then you're either 10 mins walk from the ground or the pubs depending on which way you go.

Shepherds Bush station is closed for the foreseeable future.
Best off getting victoria line to the central line and getting out at White City as croydon potter advised.

Thought Shepherds Bush station was closed, is this the underground, overground or both.
Last season had to get off early at Notting Hill and caught the bus in.

Also the victoria line is not stopping at Euston, so you'd have to walk to King's cross about 5 mins away i think.
Croydon Potter, you can get the 295 all the way from clapham junction to shepherd's bush, that's be easy for you. The bus takes about 40 mins though, a bit of a slow one.

There are two underground stations at shepherds bush the central line one is closed for the foreseeable future while they build a shopping centre, the H&C line remains open.

So if the circle line is closed on sunday, what about the penalty box line, Halfway Line and Goal Lines? are they all closed as well. Does that mean QPR won't be able to score.
I'll get my coat

According to the 'tfl' website only northbound Victoria and Northern Line trains are not stopping at Euston (I'd not spotted that before), so it's only getting back that's a problem!
It's better than last weekend, when the Victoria Line was closed both ways on Saturday and Sunday.
It would be easier if they advertised the few services that are running rather than the many that are not...
Thanks, banksy, for your info re the 295 bus.

why not the middle of the night when there are no trains running ....... its not rocket science
I had this ball ache with the tubes when I tried to get out to Heathrow the other week, and a week later when I tried to get back from heathrow , I ended up on a friggin bus from Paddington to Liverpool Street with a huge suitcase

It has been closed for a while so I was told Kensington Olympia is 25 min walk so took that option. Bearing in mind I am coming from the South not Stoke, dont know if makes a difference. Looking forward to the game and a win On another subject apologies if already posted but looks like Stoke are going to be punished because of some idiot fan - Stoke could also face punishment after a can and a bottle was thrown at Magilton as he was leaving the touchline. Think before u act especially with our points being so close or maybe if we get fined u would like to pay up

Victoria Line to Oxford Circus and then get the Central Line westbound to White City - that's my opinion, anyway!

or you can get the H&C line to shepherds bush from kings x slightly quicker journey time and no need to change tubes although it is a bit further to walk to the ground.
