If you were a full time pro for Stoke, playing all first team games, being talked up as a potential international and on the verge of being a high profile player would you ditch Stoke and go on to pastures new or would you stay loyal to The Potters knowing that by doing so you might never make the step up to the international scene???
Could you move on to another club to suite your ambition??? Who would always be a no-no club to join??? Who might get you to sign if the terms were right and it definitely progressed your career???
Remember...you are presently representing the club you support, are a fans favourite, playing in the position of your choice and are earning easily enough money that it will set you and yours up for life.
I am sure in my own mind that regardless of any offers that I'd stick with playing for Stoke City. I don't think I'd need anything else given the above factors.

Depends if I had the chance of winning medals. If I could, I'd be off. And then when I was getting on a bit I'd be back.
You may or may not win medals, this is Stoke after all. Could be relegated, might stay up and play in Europe...who knows. I'd stay and put my heart and soul into SCFC!!!

I was on about the club who were after me. I know I'm not likely to win medals at Stoke, that's why if someone who was likely to I'd leave because if You have the chance, You have to take it. However, if we were in the current position that would be one of 2/3 teams in this country.

So you'd sign on the dotted line for Manure? Liverpoo? The Arse? Could Villa be a possible alternatve? They might get some silverware.
I'd still stay at Stoke...I'm financially secure and I'm playing for the club I love.

I'd stay and play for the mighty Stoke City. I love the club as a su[pporter and it would be a dream come true if I was to play for the club I love. Stoke City all the way.
Man Yoo, Chelsea and possibly Man City at the present time. Any of the others I wouldn't consider at the moment. And anyone with ambition would imo. Unless You were promised investment and a chance to win medals. If I was a footballer I'd want to win competitions, at Stoke there is very little chance of that.
It depends how good i was? If i was Ronaldo good (but without the theatrics) i'd be off to anywhere willing to pay me over 100k a week, purely so that when i retire at say 35, i'll be loaded and won't have to work again. If i was say James Milner good, where a move may bring a little extra money but nothing to silly then i would probably stay at Stoke. As much as most people hate players who chase the money i suspect 99% of people would do the same given the chance, no matter what they say. Footballers, as much as they earn, only have around 15 years to make as much as they can if they don't want to work again, so for me money would be the main thing. However moving to a bigger club wouldnt be 100% about the money, i think if i was that good, i would want to play with the best players i possibly could, i think if you were really good and the players around you wernt it could be quite annoying. Having said all that i will only ever support one club and thats Stoke City. If i did move to a massive club i would deffinatly want to come back in my later years and play for Stoke before i retire, and would love to work at Stoke as a coach also.
If i were a player for Stoke?????????........I'd thank my lucky stars that i don't have to slog my bollocks off for 40 plus odd hours a week in a pot bank/factory/farm/warehouse/fire station/pub/shop/ etc etc just to feed my family and pay the bills..........Now if i were a Stoke player i wouldn't take the piss!!

Financially you'll be never wanting for anything you desire for the rest of your life. It's a question of whether you'd ditch Stoke as bayernoatcake would and I 100% wouldn't.

And neither would i.............but what about the dirty cash i want ya dirty cash i need ya woohooo
I wouldn't move for the money as stated above. I'd move to win trophies. If it was a choice between Stoke and Spurs, I'd stay. But if Man Yoo came along, I'd be off simply to win stuff. In the Barcelona case it'd be for trophies and lifestyle-sun, sea, sand and a brilliant city.
It was different back then. Blackpool were a good side. I'd happily do the same as Stan but with Stoke and Barcelona. I wonder if in 30 years time there would be a video of me running down the beach with Montjuic in the background. ;D
Depends what your character is like. If "he" was happy at Stoke giving him a chance for first team football at a lower level, then somehow getting promotion and him realising he's good enough to cut it in the Premiership then stay. At least wait a season or two more.
id wait and see what money was being offered! if i was on 25k at stoke but man utd came in with 50k plus then it would be bye stoke! thats the reason we go work!

If it was a choice between playing almost every game - injuries & suspensions notwithstanding - for Stoke, or being a bench-warmer at best for one of the "Big 4", I'd stay at Stoke irrespective of the money.
It's hard say. Few players have the feeling for the club they support like we do. And remember, they might be heroes but one error and they get called tossers. And also remember their responsibilities. By signing that contract a player could secure him and his kids futures.
