Noticed the Radio Stoke Sports teatime bulletin was leading with
"With Halls and Hill struggling for fitness,TP and JR are still trying to bring in a replacement for Gerry Taggart......"
It was very vague, and just cut into a snippet of an interview with TP, which didn't specifically mention the possibility of an imminent loan signing - but it seemed to be implied in the wording of the bulletin itself?.
In the snippet,he actually made reference to the fact we were only 5 places off the play-offs and said he was trying to improve us, but "the wages some of these players want" was proving to be a stumbling block, and "we just can't afford it" - so he had to play a patient game.

I don't think we will see a loan signing.
I think there will be one next week in tiem for palace but not before.
