Firstly its a criminal waste of beer, but most importantly why bloody do it?
We are top of the league, winning a game and their manager is sent off, the whole crowd erupts in universal smugness, then one dickhead decides no, thats not enough, I'm going to throw a beer can/bottle at the bloke
It wasn't even a good throw - it missed him by about 20 feet!
If we get in trouble for it, I hope that person is very proud. If it had hit him, I can just imagine the headlines - its bad enough its in most of the math reports.
Can you imagine if they took some points off us, and we missed out by one because of the actions of one idiot?

Two bottles where thrown from the lower tier, The first one was miles away but the second was very close. With the shit still flying around from the Cardiff game the last thing we want is another opposition manager and the press having more ammunition to fire at us. Hopefully the dickheads who did this will be caught and banned

Agree with you on all but one point - presuming it was a plastic bottle of the over-priced gnat's piss they sell at the stadium, hardly a waste!!

Credit to Majilton for playing it down when asked about it - "I have no idea, listen I'm from west Belfast, are you having a laugh?".

No doubt if they're caught that excuse of a local paper will, quite rightly, see that they're named and shamed in the headlines.

I was rather reluctantly sitting with my Mrs amongst the morons in block 19 for the Scunthorpe game (usually sit in block 21) The pricks up there were throwing bottles, spraying beer and chucking stuff during the match, all of which were hitting folks sitting further towards the front, most of them were smoking too, doesn't bother me but there were others around me who were obviously uncomfortable with it. They are a disgrace to the club, a complete bunch of twats!

Im not in favor of collective punishment for one individuals behavior, imo thats just laziness, the person/people who do this should pay the price not the club or the rest of the supporters, i Can never understand why clubs get in trouble for what one retard does.

I'll have a go...
Is the answer beacuse there are a significant number of people who go to football matches who haven't a clue how to behave in an adult and civilised manner?

If it had hit him, I can just imagine the headlines - its bad enough its in most of the math reports. "if the angle between pitch and specator is cos x = b, what force must be used to hit jim magilton with a bottle with mass m"?

I saw my typo later but couldn't be arsed to change it ;D
However, if bottle X hits manager Y and club A are docked B points, that wouldn't be very funny....

nice!
Part b) Dave Bamber shoots for goal with a velocity of 50 km/h. Assuming constant acceleration how far up the stand would you need to be to avoid being struck by the ball?
