what and that includes encouraging your two 6 foot centre forwards to fall down in and around the box at every opportunity to try and con the ref into giving you a penalty?
Another less than gracious manager that we'll hopefully never come across again.............................

He's a good guy Magilton I think what he means by 'the right way' is generously letting the home team have all 3 points at every opportunity Very sporting of him- seems to do it on a fortnightly basis ;D

Must admit I was surprised with the ease Ipswich were going down, clearly playing the percentages game...and attempting to stop our forward momentium, something we often get accussed of in reverse by giving away niggling little fouls
It was clearly part of their game plan , a junior version of Sheffield united a few years back if you will, but then Sheff U coming from a steel city instead of a port had stuck with tradition, sing about chip butties and call themselves the blades instread of having the good sense to call themselves 'the hill farmer boys' for the benifit of a sky/media love in...so didn't get away with it without catcalls everywhere they went.
Presumably the Ipswich players were either playing to instructiuon to go down when challenged in 50/50 situations , or their team talks this last week had put the fear of god into them of how dangerous we could be if allowed to play at a high tempo pace, to the degree they'd become physcological wrecks.
In fairness not a game for the neutral, but a tense chess on grass game for both sets of fans, with Stoke just about deserving to edge the points...make no mistake ipswich despite their theatrics are a good team and it was an excellent 3 points

Thought that Ipswich "Hoofed" the ball more than Stoke IMO, it seems that everyones manager slates Stoke for there approach to the game even when they play the same, Stoke yesterday and in particular Whelan and Lawrence passed the ball around and played some cracking football.....

clearly the right way is to set a great example of discipline, and get yourself sent off...and every other side who comes here hoofs the ball as much as us, they just choose to forget that when they make crappy comments....its called selective memory loss....see port vale for further references.

I also noticed that Majilton threw his chewing gum wrapper to the ground, so a naughty litter-bug as well ;D

He was a little bit miffed with the multiball system too.
