Most of them are in their natural positions, only really left back that isn't. I’m talking generally over the last few games about natural positions. I’m more disturbed that Laurent and Wesley, regardless of performance are shoe horned into the starting 11. Their natural position is on the bench. Start without a striker if you have to. Try something different. I'd say generally as well tbh, apart from the left back situation whos been out of position, Burger in midweek and Leris at rb other than that I can't think of many. Not much of a choice re Wesley, our other two forwards are injured and Gayle is Gayle, play to his strengths and Wesley could be actually pretty useful but the CBs have been too tempted to lump it up to his head due to his height and their inability to pass a ball.

That’s because he shouldn’t be in that role, it should be Johnson or JunHo. But do we want/need two defensive midfielders? After last week I would agree he's not an advanced midfielder so he's competing with Pearson and although I'm not one of his greatest fans thinking he has his limitations I think Pearson has to be first choice. He'll be on a two match suspension soon and it will be then up to Burger to stake his claim. He'd be fine in a two next to Pearson.

Ahh the old, “What is the formation” If we don’t have players in their natural positions then how can you expect to be successful. Also, how can you be successful when continually including Laurent? He simply doesn’t deserve a shirt. Wesley????? WTF Most of them are in their natural positions, only really left back that isn't.

Laurent instead of Burger. Rose instead of McNally. Ace. Wilmot instead of the tea lady.

I'll be surprised if Leris is up top. Agreed, so not 433 more 442 but the middle 4 holding? I think that's how it'll look in reality, someone's going to have to help the midfield out when Laurent doesn't show up

I doubt it made any difference to getting a CB in, should have done both. We spent a lot of time getting junior but who knows but you are correct should have got both. I would play junior at rb and push hoever up Hoever has never really convinced me when he's started further forward tbh.

That XI is enough to get a result if they play well. Guess we’ll see if that materialises. Mildly concerned at 6 of the XI playing their third game in 6 days given Neil’s reticence for early subs. He's made more early non injury related subs than any manager I can remember. Rather that than the MON way of never making them 😄

Looks a totally toothless side even with injuries we have. As some have said Leris and Wesley up top, madness. Rose and Laurent yet again and no place for Burger, JunHo or Lowe. We shall see! I'll be surprised if Leris is up top.

What was the point in getting junior when he doesn’t play him he should have concentrated on a centre half I doubt it made any difference to getting a CB in, should have done both.

4-2-3-1 then, what we’ve all been asking for. Could easily be 4-3-3

To you maybe, but not the manager. Your argument is more about why couldn’t he start if he came on after 12 anyway. I’d hope Mmaee will be handled in the same way. sorry but if they’re fit enough for the bench there fit enough to start That's not the case though is it, players need some easing when coming back due to match fitness, Vidigal looked shot pretty quickly after coming on.

Bet this one ends up being another month-long thing as well. Looked exactly the same as when Mmaee pulled up in the cup. Typically Campbell had started quite well yesterday and got injured whilst winning a free kick in a dangerous area. injured my arse, the guys a fraud, he is has bad has Powel, should never be near the 1st team once the injury's are cleared. He was looking at coming off from the 1st few minutes. So you think he was faking it 😂

If it's 4-3-3 I'd rather us go three (it's not five, it's never been five) at the back. it is when we play it, because we are that fucking awful at it. And 4-3-3 is really a 4-5-1, at least with a three there's 2 up top (theoretically) None of this really matters though if the CBs can't get their act together and actually look competent.

How can you judge, I can only remember him having two particularly good chances. Then you’ve got a crap memory😉 He’s had a few more half chances but has snatched at them, looks like he’s lacking confidence in front of goal. Maybe once he gets one, you never know I wasn't counting half chances tbh, just decent ones he should score, I don't think the service to him has been good enough. Saying that, Vidigal seems more a scorer than a creator (no bad thing) and we know Campbell is always going to go for himself over putting a ball in.

Hold up play is decent when he actually receives the ball to feet but he couldn’t score in a brothel. We need Junho and Vidigal starting and getting into the box supporting How can you judge, I can only remember him having two particularly good chances.

Neil OUT!!! Question is who we going get in replace him. Probably be the same recycled managers from the championship I'd take Warnock over this. At least he won't be choosing players based on a spreadsheet. Rowett in.

If it's 4-3-3 I'd rather us go three (it's not five, it's never been five) at the back. of course it’s 5 at the back , you don’t think the wingbacks stay up top when the opposition are attacking so you 🙄 They did for the second against Hull...

If it's 4-3-3 I'd rather us go three (it's not five, it's never been five) at the back. There wide wingers force the wingbacks back so it’s 5 most of the time They can do but from the games I've seen the wingbacks are pushed up pretty high and are playing that way rather than fullbacks in a five.

And if we won the next and the next, you'd still want him gone? Well obviously not but do you see that happening? my opinion is that he's absolutely clueless and trying to wing it. Who knows but he's right that we've had performances which deserved something etc and yes the results aren't good but I don't think it's been as awful as some are suggesting.

Will he shit his pants with a back 5 again, and ultimately have to change things before half time? Or will he go with the back 4 that we have and always looked much better with? If it's 4-3-3 I'd rather us go three (it's not five, it's never been five) at the back.

I'm in an awkward position here. I want AN gone but I want us to win... hmm it's feeling like Watford away with Hughes all over again. And if we won the next and the next, you'd still want him gone?

Our current defensive frailties makes me wonder at what point AN will be tempted to give Tchamadeu an opportunity. It won't be tomorrow, but he is one of the new lads that we have yet to see much of so far and, let's face it, we are not exactly stocked with defenders that are in good form. I am hoping for a 4-3-3 tomorrow. Round pegs in round holes please AN. It wouldn't really be round pegs in round holes even with Tchamadeu, from what I've read he can play there but he's not really a left back is he. I'm hoping we stay away from 4-3-3, we should be playing 4-2-3-1 with the squad we've got.

I always think back to the season got us promoted. I remember a midweek point at Preston where we had players injured and just defended. We coped with injuries and would still be hard to beat because we had a good pool of defenders to choose from. Defence always comes first Yes it's impossible to build anything on weak foundations.. that is a truth that should not be forgotten. Edit www.ibroxnews.com/2023/09/29/ben-davies-proves-rangers-right-after-decision-to-turn-down-late-transfer-move/I read earlier we tried to get Davies for virtually nothing in that we tried to get his club to agree a loan with them paying almost all his wages late on jn the window. Given we had money that seems verging on ridiculous! You may know more though mate given your Glasgow connections? Depends who you believe, some had us down as offering a significant %

I think we''ve got to eliminate the unselectables, and then just do the best we can with the rest. At the moment, I'd say we can't pick Rose or Wesley. Probably Gayle too. So we are limited. Travers Hoever Wilmot McNally Gooch Pearson Burger (or Laurent) Johnson Haks Vidigal Bae If you think you need a bit more physicality up there, it's got to be Lowe ahead of Wes or Gayle Why can't we pick Wesley? He's been fine when we actually play to his strengths, it just hasn't happened enough.

Travers Gooch McNally Rose Jr Pearson Sidibe Haks DJ Vidigal Wesley why are people picking rose over last years POTS (albeit little choice) wilmot? Rose wouldnt get in vales team Pots means nothing but even still it was ridiculous it was given to him, he's been a mainstay in a poor defence. Something needs to be done and dropping him hasn't been tried, it needs to happen, he's a massive liability.
