No direct mention of Nixon in this article although that’s probably where their story has come from. www.telekomsport.ro/se-face-transferul-carierei-pentru-florin-andone-o-echipa-din-premier-league-il-vrea-pe-roman-deportivo-cere-20-000-000-de-euro-17825406“Florin Andone could catch the transfer of life even in the last hours of the mercato period of the major championships! The Romanian striker is desperately wanted by a Premier League formation. The Stoke England will necessarily bring Florin Andone before the end of the January 31 transfer period. The Premier League team offers 10 million euros in exchange for the Romanian striker, but Deportivo wants at least twice. According to information in England, Stoke is ready to offer 10 million on the spot, but Deportivo would have asked 30 million euros at the first call. As soon as the negotiations have advanced, the Spanish club has dropped out of claims and is willing to give up Andone if Stoke pays 20,000,000 euros. It remains to be seen whether Stoke will raise or whether he will be heading to another striker.”

If Sturridge can stay fit between now and the end of the season I really can’t see West Brom going down. They’ve looked half decent in recent weeks they’ve just been lacking someone to stick their chances away.

Wait... what? I could afford to buy a £1000 coat, I just don’t see the value in it so I don’t. Exact same thing here, we can afford it but don’t see it as worthwhile value. Not sure how you come to your conclusion. And that's not being able to afford it. 7-10m is about right for an England U21. Bayern you’re clutching at straws here.

Ndiaye - latest situation in Stoke City transfer Stoke City, which offered 16 million euros for the Ndiaye, took the step of bringing Galatasaray's transfer to the point of transfer of 18 million euros. Stoke City added a bonus of 1 million euros to the offer. CLOSED FROM RECEIVABLES Ndiaye, who wanted to go to England, gave up 1.1 million euros to buy from Galatasaray Club on behalf of the transfer. The transfer is expected to be completed soon and the signatures are to be discarded. Hopefully we can get this all done tomorrow.

The single reason it doesn’t work is that there is too much open to opinion in football.
100 people could watch that video of the penalty Salah won 100 times in real time and 100 times in slow motion and think it was a foul.
100 different people could watch the same footage and think it wasn’t a foul.
What exactly is its purpose?

I know there's still 4 days left but trying to get a buzz from a confirmed bid really is slim pickings? This is the transfer window that could make or break our Prem status FFS. No more bidding gents, there’s only 4 days left. Might as well give up on anything that’s not done and dusted.

He was pulled back(slightly) so it's technically a foul, but he dived so it's technically a booking. So even with VAR the completely right outcome wasn't reached. Fuck it off. So what did you think should happen? Give penalty and a booking to Salah? Don’t even think it was a foul, personally. It was theatrical but there was contact. No penalty and no card. Football is a contact sport and that hand on Salahs shoulder was minimal contact. No foul, for me.

What happens if there’s a foul on the half way line 2 minutes before a goal but in the same passage of play ie. ball remains in play? Disallowed goal?
It works for cricket but not football. Ridiculous.
P.s still don’t think that was a foul on Salah no matter how many times I see it or how slow I see it.

Embarrassment in this game. Absolutely shambolic showing. They’re going to be analysing it for everything even when there’s nothing contentious to analyse. Wank, wank, wank. Fuck it off.

I’m absolutely furious with that result. Liverpool were an absolute joke. Swansea even worse. How the fuck did they win?

When will this lad get a call up to the first team?
He scores goals for fun, just scored 2 in 18 minutes for the under 23’s and looked one of our better players in the pre-season friendlies last summer.
Always been impressed when watching him, pace to burn and very good technically and a good finisher.

We want our wingers to be disciplined though to provide width. So play Shaq in the middle and let him float everywhere. He does his best bits with a free role as you’ve said. That could work, no issue with it. I'd rather we had 3 attackers all in (near) free roles behind the striker. á la Shaq/Bo/Arnie of 2015/16. And for the cutting in I think we're best having wingers inverted. Shaq's our only left footer. The only problem I have with that is when a full back bursts to the half way line and they’ve got no one to pass to down the wing. If they could communicate better amongst themselves to make sure they don’t all occupy the middle it would work. It needs work but I see what you’re saying and I prefer your idea. 3 forwards floating around anywhere they like is fine as long as when we need an option out wide there’s someone there to receive the ball.

Why does anyone want Shaqiri to play out wide? I don’t get it one bit. He’s half the player out there, he really is. As long as we play 3 behind a striker they can all switch in game. Shaq is at his best cutting inside from the right playing those diagonal balls inside defenders, for the opposing winger to run on to (as vs City.) We want our wingers to be disciplined though to provide width. So play Shaq in the middle and let him float everywhere. He does his best bits with a free role as you’ve said.

- work on fitness, we don’t ever last 90 minutes. Bauer was the only one with energy in the 2nd half (and I include Allen in that) - bring back Bojan and Muniesa - move Wimmer on, Muni can take his place in the squad - play Shaq down the middle where he’s most effective. - coach Zouma and Shaq on protecting the ball and not giving it to the opposition every time - consider playing 2 strikers at home, Crouch is what Saido needs - sit Cameron in front of the CBs as a withdrawn midfielder. We need to be solid like we were under Pulis - sign a right back, someone with legs like Bauer - we need a goalscorer. We don’t have anyone who’s ever scored goals apart from Crouch (but he comes with his limitations) and Berahino ( many moons ago). Bring someone in like Pulis did with Beattie. The squad is good enough to stay up, but it’s going to be close. He’s going to have to start work now, and not take his eye off it until the final whistle in May. Did you mean left back? Bauer is a right back and he’s ours mate...

Fans were on another level tonight. Every single one of you to a man you’ve done the club proud.
Thought the team did well too, no shame in that performance at all. Conceded 2 exceptional goals and made a few chances of our own first half.
