I can't remember how long ago it was now, so I am guessing at the early 1990s.
During a Christmas fixture on the Boothen end, a few of us decided to meet up outside Fail Park on New Year's Day, in our Stoke tops to take a group photo.
Our lovely team shot of around eight of us all baring our arses standing below a 'Vale Park' sign duly made it for publication in The Oatcake.
Immature I know, but it still makes me laugh now.

That reminds me, I saw Queen live at Maine Road in the late 80's. I was there too and I got my photo in the tour book that was released later that year. Support was from Status Quo and Belouis Some! Remember him?? To be honest, no. I only saw Queen. It was the Kinda Magic tour. Probably too pissed to remember.

Queen were the support act for a well known band. No they weren't.

I also think I need psychiatric help.

The sole reason private companies exist is to make profit for their owners. They are duty bound to take any steps necessary to make maximum profit. The water companies in Britain have been allowed to charge for their services, without making any investments at all. Their is no competition for their services so they can charge whatever they like. They have been given licenses to print steel our money, and , not surprisingly, they have used them. I've taken the liberty of adding to your post ...
Iron clad comment.😉

Hmm. Looked at the painting from July 2023 again. The white and yellow oil colours are still wet as water. Why? It's been nine months since I made it. Thanks for the advices. I might go to the paint shop and ask someday. Ask for a medium. Good thinking. She may be able to predict when it will dry.

Sounds like you have been using anti vandal paint.
At least it will stop the neighbourhood yobs from climbing on it.

No, I think you've been traumatized by the last few years watching Stoke and you're being overly negative here. I'm sure any fair minded WBA fan will say they were second best. We played some brilliant stuff but yes, we look vulnerable at the back, we need a goalscorer, but there are some very good footballers in the squad We have something to build on. 60% possession today and 18 shots with 7 target I don't know if I qualify as fair minded, but I am an Albion fan. I agree that today SCFC were the better side. The Albion performance follows the pattern of the last few games, when we have short spells of cohesive play and longer periods of alarming lapses. Corberan has performed miracles with the squad he inherited from the clown Bruce, but the cracks are showing and only his good coaching will enable WBA to stagger into the PO's. With a goal scorer (which Albion also lack) Stoke should have been out of sight.
Fair comment.

Why were the fire marshalls on the pitch at half-time? In case we imploded.

After seven years on the other side of the Atlantic, falling in love with our club as we've fallen down the ladder, I'm finally going to be able to make it to my first game on Easter Monday. (I'm overseas for a period of time, and this is the weekend I'm best able to make it work). I’ve got my ticket for Block 22, but other than that I have no idea what to expect -- what does a typical matchday look like from the fan experience perspective? Any must do's/must not do's or general advice would be much appreciated. I’m staying at the Holiday Inn right by the stadium if that’s at all relevant. Apologies for the cross post from the travel board — one of the commenters recommended I do so. Where are you from? Definitely do the pubs before and afterwards. Enjoy the game. Welcome!

Yeah. Ordering £10 worth of stuff because you can't be arsed to get out of your pyjamas is another thing 👍 I often do this if I really need something and I've been drinking (and as such not able to drive) or can't be arsed to walk to the shop (because I've been drinking). Can't see the problem with it really. Retailers offer the service and people use it - what's annoying about that? Prioritising online orders over actual living, breathing customers right there in the shop though is a different thing altogether (and one that fucks me off immensely). The ire should be directed at profit-hungry retailers asking store staff to do three jobs in one however, not the consumers taking advantage of an offered service. I bet your final delivered order is interesting, ( if you've been drinking). 😉
