It was ridiculous free kick to give away in that position. The Italian had his back to goal, going nowhere and Allen goes through the back of him. Brainless. Exhibit A Second best all over the park if actually watching it I'm commenting on Allen because he is a Stoke player and it was a brainless challenge that resulted in conceding a goal. Do you think it was a necessary challenge?

i see the Joe Allen brigade are poised fingers on keyboards as usual. You can pre script it. Italy bossing it. Wales going in at 1-0 flatters them a bit to be fair. It was ridiculous free kick to give away in that position. The Italian had his back to goal, going nowhere and Allen goes through the back of him. Brainless.

Bit of an assist from Joe Allen there I’m afraid. It was a ridiculous free kick to give away.

Like I said, hook, line and sinker😏 The classic “I’m making no sense so will say it’s a wind up” ploy 😂 Nothing to do with winding anybody up, you are totally rapt by government scientists, no shame in that I'm just making an observation.

But don't you see the probability and outcome is not significantly different? The vaccine rollout carries on anyway regardless of the opening. You said yourself we are free to come and go. It literally makes no difference if some people get back on with normal things and it saves all those livelihoods. The nervous people won't go to the theatre or football, concerts or nightclubs anyway We are waiting for absolutely nothing. The lies are just ridiculous if they want my compliant sufferage they can at least show me that they don't hold me in contempt. Yesterday The PM literally said no decision has been made on reopening, clearly a lie as it was backbriefed days ago. Today "thousands of lives" will be saved. It's fucking impossible Boris. Thousands of lives is at least two thousand. That means 500 deaths a week might happen between 21st June and 19th July from 3 deaths today!!! That's not incompetence it's total fucking lies. Unless of course we think either the vaccines don't work or in four weeks there is still yet another decision to be made, there is no reason to delay. As for holidays they be exempted anyway, the travel bans will remain for months after this decision. I'm going to carry on as if I didn't have a TV or radio or access to the media and just get on with my simple life as best I can. I'll leave it to the rest of you clever types to fix the world. They won't but they should be able to get on a train and expect some common decency. Politician in lying shocker. They all lie, that's an odd one but it's not even in the top million is it? "yeah we've decided, ask mar mate Peston..." I agree it seems far fetched but so did cases being where they are now 2 weeks ago. Cases lead to hospitalisations and they lead to deaths. Still. And the chain isn't as broken as we'd like. 2 doses are needed for this variant, the data shows this. Get as many done asap. They will and I don't agree with that at all, vaccine passports alleviate that. They should be happening. Or you could just be a considerate to others and just wear a mask. It's really not hard. Fucking hell, you've really sucked this shit up haven't you? 😁

Back come the poles. Who is the female commentator, she’s not bad but the voice is really dull. As are most commentators TBF She sounds like Glenn Hoddle's sister.

An easy £120.00, Arnie, 12/1 to score the next goal, never been so confident placing a bet..

Isn't it time people stopped taking Covid tests or is that a little too simplistic? Q: If you have had one dose of a vaccin, could an antibody test show if the vaccine has worked? The vaccine has clearly worked, it's why hospitalisations and deaths have dropped through the floor. The only thing frightening the life out of the great British public is the 'new cases' who in the main are young fit and healthy and don't even know they've got fucking covid. Stop testing young and fit healthy people.

Mark Hughes had no vision, it was about the here and now, scfc under Pulis & Coates senior was a project. Mark Hughes stumbled across the good foundations, added a bit of flair and flogged it until it was dead, then he was a busted flush For the millionth time, Hughes wouldn't & couldn't recognise nor build a spine/foundation to a team period. He lived off 10 years of hard graft from TP and when the core of the team aged he didn't have the skill, vision or brains to build his own. There was only ever going to be one outcome with Hughes' tenure. For the millionth time Hughes produced a team that was a joy to watch by adding to the Pulis spine. Why can't some accept that both Pulis and Hughes produced very good Stoke sides?

Has Foden played as a false 9 before tonight? Probably the most creative Man City player was asked to play a role he's not really played before in the biggest game of his club's history.

Pep really does over think the game at times, just play your best 11 in their best positions. Tuchel played his best 11 in their best positions.

Thanks for nothing you useless twat, now just fuck off into your inevitable obscurity.
Yes I know the fee wasn't his fault but he really is the shittest signing we've ever made.

Around a similar time we signed Joe Allen for £13m, Burnley signed Westwood for £5m. At the time we needed a Whelan replacement.

For all those years we were discussing a Whelan replacement, Ashley Westwood was under our noses all the time. Westwood is a clone of Whelan at his best.

Well done Leicester, most enjoyable cup final I've watched in a few years and refreshing to see the genuine joy of the players and supporters. Fofana was immense for Leicester, he's only 20 and shows what an excellent scouting team Leicester have. In January 2016 Leicester signed Ndidi for £17m, we signed Imbula for £18m. In August 2018 Leicester signed Soyuncu for £18m, we signed Wimmer for a similar fee. The two Leicester players are probably now worth in excess of £50m and we couldn't get a pack of rizlas for our two.

From the article linked I see we need to pull our fingers out on those new Trade Deals and make sure we're net beneficiaries: "The trade balance with non-EU countries rose to -£6.55BN in March, deeper than the -£3.50BN markets were expecting." and "ING tell clients there will continue to be a slow-burning impact of new trade frictions on the UK economy, even if the immediate teething problems have passed."So it seems we're still very much in Brexit damage limitation territory.
We're four months into an independent UK and you see the negatives whereas I see the positives: a) The findings suggest the UK's trade position with the rest of the world is improving and should go some way to quell fears over the countries persistent current account deficit, which is said by currency analysts to be an anchor on long-term Pound Sterling valuations. b) An interesting statistic was reported by the ONS in that the UK imported more goods from non-EU countries than from the EU during the first quarter of 2021, the first time it had done so since records began in January 1997. c) The findings made by the ONS show that the import of goods from non-EU countries, excluding precious metals, increased by £1.5BN (8.4%) in March 2021; mainly driven by imports of clothing. d) Imports of goods from the EU, excluding precious metals, stood at £0.8BN (4.5%) in March 2021. e) The boost in exports meant the UK recorded a smaller than expected trade deficit in March at -£11.71B, which is less than the -£14.40BN markets were anticipating. Your counter argument is the trade balance with non-EU countries rose to -£6.55BN in March, deeper than the -£3.50BN markets were expecting, however the UK trade deficit with the EU prior to Brexit was £79 billion....

It's finding that balance though, we seem to have recently signed a few professionals with 'good attitude' but are pretty useless footballers. Etebo doesn't want to be at Stoke but has he been disruptive? He is a different class footballer to the likes of Thompson, Cousins and Tymon and if he is willing to come back to the club and play for a move it can only be to our advantage as opposed to paying his wage while he plays for someone else. Is he though, is he really that good? I’m not convinced. And to be honest a player that doesn’t want to play for you, is a terrible player. End of. I've seen the three players mentioned and I've seen Etebo, Etebo is a far better footballer and I'm surprised anyone would think otherwise.

To be fair, whenever he was on the pitch he always appeared committed. I agree he clearly didn't want to be here but I never saw that on the pitch. I'd love to see him and Mikel in our midfield next season. Going on what I saw/remember his last few games for us he was poor. Great for squad morale bringing back a lad that doesn’t want to be here and will be gone the minute anything else comes along. Mercenary can rot somewhere else for me. Things going down the shitter for him and now he wants to fight for his place. Don’t remember much of that determination and commitment previous.
