Hahaha it’s like trying to forecast what the weather will be in 2 years time. A top half finish would be genuine progress. I can’t commit to anything more than that based on what we know now. Fucking coward. Bayern I fear your going to have a challenging summer 😟

Really disappointed Ty isn’t staying, think it’ll ultimately end up being a mistake letting him go . To be fair we don't k kW we let him go if anything thr issue is letting his context run down is the issue so back to the idiot martin I'm a bit surprised we haven't offered Thompson 2 years on that basis

There's going to be an enormous level of change again in the squad Very disappointed Tye isn't staying infinitely the best forward we have in the squad . But We are much better equipped now to manage the change and the summer will see us unrecognisable on and off from today so it's key we don't get too up and down as each twist occurs and reaege judgement until early autumn

If there is an issue between Schumacher and Walter’s it has not affected the dressing room or the performance of the team. The decision to have a coach v manager was made by Coates and Martin and Schumacher was recruited on that basis , so Schumacher can have no issues with the role. The rallying cry was needed because it also signaled for the first the club hierarchy were not sleep walking to relegation. Whether that rallying call should have come from Coates , Walter’s or Schumacher is open for debate but the end result was not getting relegated. If there are issues between the two as individuals or the roles then , no better time to sought the lines of demarcation over the summer. The whole club structure has not been articulated well by Coates . What does the org chart look like ? Where does Richard Smith as Managing Director fit into the picture apart from being Denise’s husband . Does Walter’s as Director of Football and Simon King as COO report to him on John Coates. Is Coates the unannounced chairman and CEO ? It’s all a bit muddy. Simon King has done great job and made a lot of change that has been well communicated and well received. I hope that Walter and Schumacher can form a team that can replicate Simon Kings success operationally in the football department. Change can be uncomfortable Be more clear by the end of the summer

I couldn’t believe how much Sidibe has filled out since I last saw him play. I didn’t recognise him at first. A very encouraging cameo and not out of place at all. Said exactly the same the academy guys absolutely think he is ready for the squad otherwise he has to go out on laps as he's too good for the 21s as his only game plan

New fanzone Safe standing Away fans moved SJW’s at the helm A Likeable young manager who plays attacking football Some great young players to build around (Burger, Bae Junho, Million, tchamadeu and hopefully cundle and Hoever) A competitive budget for recruitment Have I missed anything? UTMP We will be a completely different club come August.

I thought the club got it just right. Straight round with no messing about, a quick lap of appreciation for the support without celebrating our lowly finish, which was reciprocated by the many thousands that stayed behind. Top man is Mr King

Benji argues that we know have decent people in the right posts, King, Walters, Schumacher, Richard Smith That looks like a much stronger argument than yours To be fair, if Walters wasn't an ex Stoke player and was called Dave Smith the argument from Benji (and others) would be very different. You'd hear things like "no course and distance" and "has never run a proper summer transfer window" and "huge risk" and of course the old faithful "gravity crocodile". I'm loving the positivity but i'm not yet seeing the basis for it that most people are? Give it time “ the times they are a changin “

The role was split after Scholes left Simon King is now COO and is responsible for anything non (direct) football matters and has impressed everyone with the changes he has brought in, very positive RM was made Technical Director and was responsible for all direct football matters, he made a pigs ear of pre season trip to Spain and astonished everyone with his bull shit A friend of mine had two interviews for a data analysis role (re recruitment) and said his first interview was with Jared and some other chap, he said he thought that went well liked those guys and despite not being a Stoke fan (he's from the North East) was keen to work in football Second interview was with RM My mate gets there, gets into the room, SSN is on a TV and before he's sat down or even said hello RM points to Gill Scott on the TV and says 'I'd give her one' RM was utterly classless He didn't get the job Fortunately we now have a proper football man and Stoke legend (he is) in SJW we can't say what he's going to be like re recruitment but it's absolutely clear that the atmosphere within the club is vastly improved already Very telling

Mutual backslapping after a couple of wins and finishing 18th or so. Is this what we've become? Another summer where those accountable get off scot free. Those free buses were a great idea. There will be no messing around or delusion this summer we are definitively on the right track off the pitch with SK and Richard Smith and JC and the team will follow with SJW , SS and JC

we will look a very very different football club come August and by the autumn will be in a very different position we’ve a top team now , that have the resources , the know how , the desire and the understanding to get us back up the tree Are you quoting what's been said or have you just said something positive? If it's the latter I would get checked out if I were you I just know we are going to be very different come August it’s not a question of positive or negative just how it’s going to be and it will be change for the better than where we are now

Well when you consider we kept hearing the phrase ‘re-set’ to describe last Summer’s ‘exciting’ experiment with a host of global (potential) stars arriving …. and let’s admit it, we all fell for it. But looking back it was a bit like Liz Truss and her massive gamble with the nation’s economy. It was a gamble, a roll of the dice, nothing more nothing less - and should be treated as a stunt never to be repeated …. Solid, reliable signings from now on please! 100% spot on

Again, mysterious "internal challenges" referred to. You wonder how many were related to Mr Richard Martin? www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-bristol-city-steven-schumacher-9261231Schumacher: I would probably say I knew it was going to be a challenge but it's probably been more difficult than I expected. I knew the size of the club I was coming into and what was expected but the internal challenges are the ones you don't see that obviously make it more difficult. So it's been harder than expected but I think we've overcome them or the majority of them. We've still got a lot of work to do over the summer that we feel is going to give us a better chance to do better next year. I wouldn't have had to deal with half the things I've dealt with if I'd stayed at Argyle for another three or four years because the situations just weren't there. Here it's different. That learning and that experience will only make me stronger in the long run. Wonder what internal challenges he thinks remain , a huge summer of change on and off will be underway on Saturday night .

Nice for all the clubs that have already assembled billions in playing assets. Not so much fun for those at the bottom of the pile or those who get promoted. That’s why its clever another attempt to ruin the pyramid opportunity and risk , really suits the likes of palace etc too . and maintains the status quo

He’s the most critical retention of the summer because we have no other proper forwards with any pedigree at this level trying to recruit 4 in one summer is just a huge stretch given the other holes we need to fill and because we get nothing in if he goes .
