yesterdays result was needed to keep the team grounded, now im as disappointed as the next fella on here but comeon in the grand scheme of things october has been a very good mnth, now hopefully we can finish tango man off next week and get our second away win (fingers crossed, touch wood etc) were stoke and were in the prem, im still pinching myself saying that, it still feels like a dream, the only thing we need this season is 17th place. i cant believe some fans are moaning. 2 years ago i never thought we would ever get to the promised land, and we compete in 99% of our games. despite yesterdays result im still a very proud stoke fan!

keep the team grounded from what ?? and why in hell would you want to "just survive" and end up in 17th ? we all like Stoke, some say because we moan we dont, i say because we do is that we are Stoek fans and want to see them succeed

proud to be a stoke fan too, very proud... if we get relegated to the championship and play some pretty football, some fans on here would be happier, I will take what we got thanks... 9th in the prem... happy days

we are still small spender compared to the majority of the prem. half the fools on here dont praise the boys when they win yet constantly moan if we dont. in this league its highly likely we will not win most of our games, so i suggest you get used to it. another thing i have noticed from some is if we win its down to the players and if we lose its down to pulis its a bit like you saying that beattie shouldnt play for stoke fromafar and as always you are proved wrong!!!

I'd have taken 17th last season, and this season, and next season etc...
In fact, i'd happily finish 17th in the best league in the world every season as long as it means we kick off in the prem for the next season.

Ahhh so the word from Spiderman/Fromfar is the general concensus? Behave! Read Bunny's thread of sensible discussion and a good impression of both the players and managers performance from yesterday.

Read Bunny's thread of sensible discussion and a good impression of both the players and managers performance from yesterday. where have i said that bayern??? i think youll agree that i singled out fromafar to make my point. where do you expect us to finish bayern??? 2nd-3rd??? i can agree with you being upset about throwing away a 2 goal lead as i was but you also have to take the rough with the smooth, we did it a couple of times last year to villa and castle (off the top of my head) its football ITS UNPREDICTABLE

bayern,
a massive part of going to watch Stoke is the pre and post match banter. I'm a pessimist but a good part of that is always wanting to be better, wanting more.
It seems that the art of folk having a discussion about the match on the net or in a pub has now been replaced by being EITHER anti or pro Pulis etc. That's far, far from the truth for 99% of ALL football fans.
Some people need to accept that you can still love TP and yet still question his decisions. Constructive and sensible posts always have a place on here, but I've been told to f** off and called a clown on several ocassions in the last 24 hours, and I dunna think it was deserved.
If I want grief like that, I'll step away from the pc and chat to the wife!

Pulis no doubt will be talking to his coaching staff and players during the week about things we could have done better yesterday, so just why should fans of that team not exchange similar ideas on a football forum then? That is unless you think Pulis will be giving everybody a week off because we just couldn't possibly be any better than we currently are.

Well only those eejits are saying anything stupid, the rest are maligning poor substitutions, poor performances and a good Wolves comeback. As for where I expected us to finish that was 17th. I know it's unpredictable but on the majority people are just discussing a football match where we made mistakes and that players and the manager should be accountable. We after all on a football messageboard, where we discuss what happens in the game. Moaning included!

This is getting silly now. I'm as big a TP fan as there is but the idea that any criticism at any time whatsoever should be silenced just because we're in the Premier League is ridiculous. Praise should be given where its due and so should criticism.

Pulis and players were to blame for the 2nd half antics. poor defending and even poorer subs ! as i said in a thread cpl of days ago, managers get too much credit when a team wins and too much blame when they lose ! Beattie, has been pretty poor all season, why he has played ahead of Kitson is a mystery

Bayern I'm pissed off because we threw a lead away, and we were wank in the second half, but we also missed a sitter to win it. I think nearly all the threads today have had a similar theme, but I think that we, as fans, should just put it in perspective, we are 9th, and we have a squad that is better than for about 30 years, and no fooker enjoys playing against us. So even though I'm pissed off about the score yesterday,I'm pretty happy with where we are and where we look like getting to. The other thing that no one really mentions, is that if we win it's because we played well, and if we lose it's because we played wank. The Dingles actually deserve a bit of credit for playing well in the second half, the early goal, and their improvement were the key factors, not just us being wank! Anyway, lets go and bury Tango next week!!

Bunny is a fucking clown. ;D Let's be honest fellas Stokie1000 isn't talking to the bayerns, bunny's and spencers of this world but the ones who can't help but resort to abuse of our own players and manager. You can criticise selections and performances without being downright disrespectful to the manger and players who see us where we are today as a TEAM. Doesn't take a particularly long search to see that an awful lot of our posters this weekend can't do what you three do though and just discuss the game. They all seem to be in some competition to see who can be the angriest and no bayern i didn't enjoy yesterday's second half either.

We should of never fucked up 2-0 against wolves but if they just want to sit in defence after half time I knew they were gong to get a few goals in the bag
still Stoke are high in the table and it will stay that way

TP should have had Kitson on the bench (I don't care if him and TP had a fall out- he's paid to play football for Stoke), but with what we had he should never have taken Fuller off and he should have switched Lawrence for Delap and Tuncay for Beattie. No way should Mama be ahead of Kitson, Tuncay, Fuller, or Beattie. We spunked two points up the wall it's as simple as that.
