It would be great if somehow we could go back to the good old days and sing Delilah properly. We need to slow it right down, it should be more of an anthem pace again as opposed to a bloody rave tune!
This has been pissing me off for sometime now, the volume is fine but sung at a slower pace would equal everyone finishing at the same time, surely?
We have got rid of the clapping during 'Oh when the reds' and it is a much more appealing tune to the masses as a result.
Can anyone find the link of the 'Delilah' from Wembley, versus Stockport County, that should be a benchmark for future 'Delilahs'
Gooooooaaarrrrnnnn Stoke!!!!

But that's not the point, Biganddaft. The point is that we only have about five songs, and no matter how good Delilah (done right) & We'll Be With You are, it's embarrassing how limited we are.
And I don't consider players name chants to be songs.
Other teams manage complex lyricism but we can't even manage Abdoulaye My Lord, never mind our Fuller/Torres rip off or anything similar.

Cheers for that 'Boother'.
Agree mate, we are very limited.
I think alot is down to the amount of fans at home who join in with the singing (from three sides of the ground) now. At the Vic it was only really the boothen end that sung.
Now we have the seats and people can't pick where they are situated it causes the singing fans to be spread over a larger area.
I have noticed the variety and complexity of songs at away games is much better???
'Abdoulaye my lord' being a classic example of this. Because the song repeats the first line three times its impossible (unless you are close to where the song originates) to know how close to the last line you are!

Bury me under the boothen!!! BUT... we sort of have to decide on a new/old/original version as when this has come up before (many times) people have always heard or sang a different version of this song... I shall go first... If I should fall on some far distant terrace, with the blood pouring out of my head, Will you carry me from where I've fallen, Take me back to the place I belong... Will you bury me under the Boothen, with the sun shining warm on my face, will you bury me under the Boothen, Take me home to my final resting place... Will you bury me under the Boothen, will you bury me under the sun, will you bury me under the Boothen, cos' my duties to City are done Make of it what you will, worth a try i suppose

"Will You Buy Me Under The Boothen" is unquestionably my favourite footy song of all time... Despite the tragic fact that I'm too young to have even heard it, never mind participated in it.

All you oldies harp on about how good our list of songs were in the 70s and 80s. If they're Stoke City related can't we just bring them back?

This is quite simply fantastic, so much so that I've adopted it as a mantra for use in my everyday life... As massively childish as it is, you can win any argument simply by chanting "GAYS, GAYS, GAYS, all of you are GAYS, GAYS, GAYS!" relentlessly in the face of the person you are disagreeing with. You mark my words - Paxman will be doing it on Newsnight this time next week.

The wolves lot sung a song for Hennesey, same tune to the burnley song
Hen-nes-ey, Hen-nes-ey, Hen-nes-ey, (repeat to fade) Bur-ne-ley, Bur-ne-ley, Bur-ne-ley, (repeat to fade)
we could sing this for Ethers?
Eth-ring-ton, Eth-ring-ton, Eth-ring-ton...
Simple enough for us?

Would be great if some of these were sung tomorrow! No it wouldn't have been great. The songs are dog shite. I'd rather sing 3 or 4 decent one's than 9 or 10 utter, utter shite ones.
