This isn't meant to be a dig at vale.
I'm genuinely interested to know what the 'premiership effect' has had on influencing the young fans (and some older ones) in supporting Stoke and not Vale?
Obviously our fan base is up on a match day, but is this increase reflected generally on the streets?

You only have to look at how many kids are wearing the red and white stripes to see the effect of premiership football.

For years kids in Stoke and 'Castle have worn their ManU and Liverpool shirts with pride. It is a bit sad if 30 years of tradition are coming to an end.

Plus they are putting money into the club as well.

I do...If a youngster wasnt into footy then Stoke been in the Prem got him interested then thats fine, but if he was Manure, Liverpool or Arsenal before that then he 'converted' just cuz we got promoted then that is the definition of a glory hunter and we slag manure of for that all the time. If some one was an arm chair stokie and only became an active fan since promotion then that inner too bad either...its the fuckers who used to support another citys team that I dunner like, was a bloke in the south stand at west ham, with a Stoke top on but he also had a Chelsea tattoo on his arm and I heard him asking for the chelsea score.....prick...simple as oh...and i dunner give a fuck what the manager and players want...I/we pay their fuckin wages so its us/me that matters

;D ;D dont you agree ,a full house lifts the players ? of course I do, but what would lift me more than a full house is the thought of 30k per week, surely thats enough insentive for anyone...I just meant about Manure, Chelski etc fans that have jumped on the Stoke band wagon and tryin make out as if they've been Stokies for years. There was a lad in my class at school, was staunch Chelsea, always has been, but he's got a season ticket for Stoke , this is his first year and he told me he's had one for years in the same seat....Its the south stand for fucks sake lol.. I anner forgot his chelski routes even if he has ;D ;D

I love this debate. Look, I'm happy to see the Brit full and our gate receipts up.
However, some of these 'new fans' can only be described as slimy, squirmy, odious little toads who represent everything that's wrong with football.
