Along with Whelan, changed the game for me, when he came on we passed the ball like I've never seen us pass the ball, and we always looked threatening. Very encouraging.

Looked very dangerous however I feel he does need more games before we'll see the best of him. I think he will frustrate but will be also brilliant and a matchwinner too (a little like Fuller). He seems to save his energy more than most and wont be tearing back to defend like some.

I thought he looked great.
At one point he cleared the ball long out of our box and he was the first Stoke player to challenge for it when it landed in the Spurs half!

instead of bringing on defenders and defensive midfielders we bought on whelan and tuncay two players who and comfortable on the ball. we have a strong bench and we bought on quality.
By the way...Fuller impact player?!?! Never, first name on the team sheet!

I suspect he will have an increasingly bigger part to play over the next 4/6 weeks. We have some very winnable games in the Prem. plus the Portsmouth cup-tie - lets get that won now!!!!

True, but both players were bought on at the right time. TPs away plan was and always is to hold out for an hour or so, then go for it. It worked today, and proves he knows better than us.

Once Tuncay come on we had a better outlet cause he's not only capable of holding the ball up but he carries it as well.

The concerns by some about Tuncays work rate is totally misguided, he's not a lazy player, and never has been.

Agree with that apart from your last sentence. His first contribution was a sliding tackle just outside our own penalty area

Another excellent player and looked like everything we knew we were getting, skill, intelligence and work rate. STILL think that he and Fuller up front together could work!

shame he didn't pass to fuller when he had the opportunity, instead of trying to go it alone. That said, Fuller would have done the same if he'd been in a similar situation. I hope the day isn't far off when we see fuller alongside "a fully fit" Tuncay. Beattie still seems a yard off the pace, despite his 2 goals last week

This midfield and attack could cause some damage-
Lawrence -------- Whelen ------ Diao ---------- Etherington
--------------------------- Tuncay -------------------------------
--------------------------- Fuller --------------------------------

Just good to see him get some minutes on the field and not against the so called lesser teams we all thought we'd see him coming on against. I agree we will see more and more of him over the next few weeks.

I just think generally whoever plays there is going to need to be good in the air - for me, it would be more effective with Fuller playing off Tuncay than the other way round.

I only watched it in a pub but he was great and should have a goal or two in the closing stage. Him, Ethers and Fuller really stretched the play when they were down to 10 men.

Yes, i agree, we generally need a big man in the hole, but i just want to see them both on the pitch at the same time, they have the potential to be an awesome pairing, but I wouldn't touch Fuller at the minute. We need to find a way of fitting Tuncay in somewhere.
