I love Denis Smith's reaction after the Cardiff penalty is scored. That should be on Soccer AM's third eye.Best Stoke City kit ever in my opinion.

How the fook was that a penalty? D'ya notice the single lone Stoke fan celebrating when we scored the 3rd goal? ... I doubt very much if anybody would do that down at Cardiff nowadays! ;D

Big Bren.....can you imagine how lethal he would be with Rory's throw.... I love it That game reminds me of being a kid and playing in the Street in the rain and snow and every other weather and shouting your heroes name as you blast one between gate posts

He'd scored for Stoke but yet never kicked a ball for us. Disclaimer: My memory could be a little bit out here! ;D

I was at that match, it was absolute mayhem outside the ground after, we went in a transit van so missed out on a lot of what went on, but some of my mates who went on the soccer special reckoned it was toe-toe stuff all the way back to the station at Ninian , some things never change

Was Hull, Paul you're right. Was actually a record for a goal scored by a sub at the time. I loved Bren he was fantastic. Great finish for that goal.
We tried to sign Phil Dwyer from Cardiff after that game I remember. He was a decent player.
Agree a shocking dive for the pen.

I cant remember if this was the match where we took a couple of special trains and it was bedlam.
Watching the clip there are stoke fans behind the goal when we score the first.
The match i went we had thousands in the padock.
Memory is going can anyone help.It was either this match or maybe the season before or after.

I'm pretty sure this was the one where the trains had their windows broken by stray bricks that just happened to be flying through the air as we passed through Cardiff after the game. I nearly had hypothermia when I got back to Stoke Station.

great viewing, to see the 2 sets of fans in the same stand(1st half) is incredible. to see the few stoke fans at the other end (2nd half) must have been brave if it all kicked off after,as has been suggested.
keep em coming roots.

I went on coach and we were in the paddock on the main stand side. I remember Randall had a great game, and Bren was his usual dependable self. I also notice the influence that Howard Kendall had on that team. Great days in the history of Stoke

Most of us were in the paddock for this one but there were a few Stokies in both ends as well...Before the game the windows went through on our train and after we were kept in a yard with big gates outside the paddock...after half an hour we were let out and given a police escort down towards the railway embankment where a load of Cardiff were waiting..then the Old Bill left us to it and all hell broke loose with some Stokies (like me) climbing over a metal fence to get onto the embankment...and waiting until the first 'special' pulled up....
Happy Days ;D
