Never thought I'd be saying this, but Abdy's been the weakest link lately, what's happened to his concentration? Is age starting to slow him up by that crucial second or two?
Depending if/when Huth gets suspended, I'd be seriously tempted to move him into the middle and either try Abdy in the Salif role or even, frankly, on the bench for a week or two.

Erm... Completely disagree. It may not have been his best game today but he still did some great things and was solid. Shawcross gets all the limelight for todays performance (MOM without doubt of course) but lets not forget that today our defensive performance (particuarly second half) was great and AbFaye is a massive part of that.

I wouldn't break up the Shawcross/Faye partnership for anybody.

I think ad faye does need a break, today wasnt a normal ad faye performance. But I think he will soon get back to his killing defenders and makin them look like fools ways

I really cannot believe what I'm reading, he's been outstanding so far this year IMO. On two occasions today he ran with the ball into the corner when he had time to clear it, but he didn't and on one of them occasions give it straight to them and on the other, gave a corner away. But apart from that, he's been the usual, outstanding Abdy.

The only bad game Abdy has had this season is away at Liverpool. Huth had a shocker today. He is the one who should be benched. Him and Collins have upset the backline and we look shaky on set pieces. Nobody knows who to mark, and Collins & Huth get dragged inside in open play and leave players free on the back posts and on the wings.

I've just thought, some people were on about Abdy being the fault behind West Ham's goal too? I personally thought it was Tommy's but as I sit in the Seat Stand I can't really see, when it's down in The Boothen that well. If it is true, that it was Abdy's fault for the goal - does it really matter? We still won, and how many times did he save us last year? He even got the goal vs Newcastle for us to sneak that draw, let alone all the truely amazing defensive performances he put in.

The goal was Tommy's fault.

It was Abdy's fault for the goal. He was too static, lost Upson and let Upson freely head in under no pressure

He was too static, lost Upson and let Upson freely head in under no pressure A corner floated onto the edge of the six yard box is the goalkeepers ball - especially if he starts to come for it and then ends up in no mans land. Upson lost Abdy, who comes out of the goal with no credit, but Tommy should be taking Upson, and evrybody else in his way, out to claim the ball.

Huth needs to be moved for certain, where to I'm not sure, but he's certainly not a right back by any stretch of the imagination.

Huth won't moved to CB & he's won't be benched, he's going to be sitting out a 3 match ban. Maybe not entirely fair but it will happen. I'm quite looking forward to seeing a full back in the team for a change.
