i agree with 95% of the posts on here, the ruddy scots dont like us dont want us , want to break away from us, have their own separate parliament ,get free prescriptions, but guess what they would love to come and play in our English prem wonder why, could money and jealousy be the reason, you darn right it is, well they can f**k off all of em ,they hate us we hate them, that will never change , WELL said mr Coates

As people have said, it's a case of the Scots being very selective with what they want.
They already have no tuition fees, free presciptions and their MPs can vote in our Parliament whilst English MPs have no say in theirs. They are Scottish teams and should stay in Scotland.
Mystical - regarding the German league not being as big as the Prem. Out of the top 20 best supported teams in Europe last season, 9 were German and only 3 (ManUre, Arse and CarToon Army) were English. Celtic (9) and Rangers (15) were in there too, but it still doesn't give them any right to join the Prem. Stoke were 57th btw.

It wouldn't even benefit them, unless you mean financially. Celtic and Rangers realistically wouldn't make the top half

Would the increased revenue from playing in the Premiershit outweigh the income from qualifying for the Champions League?

Swanster is bob on. We have English teams in the Championship,League 1 &2 who would go to the wall if Gartside gets his way. Would he still be pushing it if Bolton go down and are flirting with League 1 next season? Not a chance. its case of im alright Jack... for now.

Gartside is the biggest idiot in the Premiership, bigger even that Scudamore. If I supported Bolton, I'd have a campaign against him that would make Momo look like a Scholes rimmer.
People saying that with their support and Premiership money, they'd do well - as well as Newcastle and Leeds perhaps? Then again, by the time they join the Premiership we'll have probably gotten rid of relegation.
As for the German league, yes, I know. The Premiership could learn an awful lot off the Bundesliga. Daft example, really.

Imagine Celtic away on a Tuesday night in January, mmm I'm going to go to that one aren't I? (Sarcastic winky thing).
The logistics involved are ridiculous plus, it would surely reduce the chances for either Celtic or Rnagers qualifying for any of the European cups if they keep the Champions League places to the top 4 and the Europa League to the next 2 or 3. I wonder if they have considered that?

We should allow just one of them in, and laugh uncontrollably at the reaction of the other.

Yeah its morally wrong but if the old firm joining the Premier League makes the League more popular worldwide then surely that only boosts the profile of clubs like ourselves and means more revenue for us. I dont see a problem with it. Id rather play celtic or rangers than hull or bolton. Fans of Villa and Man City are probably thinking to themselves "I'd rather play Celtic or Rangers than Stoke". Let's not separate ourselves from the Hulls or Boltons. If this happens, we're very much in the same boat as they are.

If they're that bothered they could just take over a premiership, maybe Wigan as has been suggested, and move them and call them Rangers or Celtic Latics! Bastuds!

The day Celtic & Rangers are admitted to English football at ANY level is the day I will throw in my season ticket and turn my back on football forever. I also share the opinion that Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham should be sent to the League Of Wales to play their club football.
If we are going to accept Rangers and Celtic on the basis that they have great tradition (well Celtic have won the European Cup but that's about it) and have outgrown their own league, then we may as well bring in Anderlecht from Belgium, Benfica and Porto from Portugal and Ajax and Feyenoord from Holland while we're at it.
