I've got about the same shot to goal ratio as I did in 09 and I didn't score alot in that. So sorry not really got any tips apart from learn how to do a lobbed shot and a precision shot.

Learn to cross... When 1 on 1 tempt the keeper out then lob!
Cross to far post.
Pass through players when in box.

Having the same problem to. Will find it impossible to score then will score about 5 the next game. Anyone scored a free-kick yet? Not even been close to scoring one.

Conceded two though The computer has scored loads past me, anytime they have a free-kick about 20-25 yards out they always score drives me nuts. They always seem to direct them straight onto the post, then they either go straight in or hit the keeper first. That's what keeps happening to me anyway.

Through balls are a completely different ball game in 10, alot harder than 09. Relearning how to do them

I score most my goals by through balls, not scored from a freekick or a throw in yet. Only scored off a corner once, huth headed it in nicely.

It's quite easy once you know how. The best two ways I have found are:
a. Lob - if you get through one on one (Whelan is good at through balls), the keeper always comes out. You can easily dink it over him; once you have judged the weight, it becomes quite simple.
b. Run along the back line (Fuller is shit quick) and tell Beattie to make a run, get the keeper to come towards you, and square the ball to Beattie who rolls it into an empty net.
Have a try.

I like 10....... it seems to have a more of a realistic feel to it, even the goalkeepers only parry/punch shots rather then miraculously holding onto the ball after diving 20 yards or point blank saves. I find the free kicks so much easier......1st game in I got my "in off the bar" trophy from my free kick (Lawrence) playing against Liverpool ......I never scored on in 09 so I danced around the room like a lunatic!

I did beat vale 12-2 on a 6 minute half game but then again I did knock my level down to semi pro just so I could get my virtual pro stats up. Scored hattrick then got sent off, typical.

i like the way they have slowed the game down. Not as much now, can you just be hit on the counter by the top teams. But you can dominate to some extent. I just played a match online and it ended up real madrid 1-2 stoke. Where as last year, you wouldn't of had a chance against the big guns becasue there strikers could just out pace and power you.

I always start off absolutely wank. I came home pissed on Friday night, played my first game and lost 8-0 to Man City. After a few games, it naturally comes to ya. Not doing too shabby now.

I started on Semi-pro but finding the manager and be a pro campaigns alittle easy now, so think i'll crank it up.
Still loving it ;D. Was on it for a good few hours last night.
