Seeing as our Tone is so reluctant to pick players who go away on international duty, begs the question, how far can the club realistically progress without players who are good enough to represent their country??? Keeping our heads above water at this stage, but is it a sustainable policy?

Seeing as our Tone is so reluctant to pick players who go away on international duty... Whelan and Sorro are nearly always straight back in the side following their international escapades.

the whole international duty excuse is one rolled out by Pulis as he attempts to justify his bizzare team selections, it bears no proximity to the truth

No is the answer to that question. You look at MOST/IF NOT ALL half decent prem teams will have at leats 3 int. players in their squads.
Stupid question really dont you think

If TP doesn't like his players going on International duty why has he spent the past year bigging up Ryan's chances of playing for England?
And as the meerkat above says, the answer to the original question is no. Even if we religiously avoided buying International players a number would get caps if we stay in the Prem. Lawrence and Whelan are examples. We bought them without full caps and both have now become Internationals.

We have 11 full internationals in our squad so I don't think there is an issue with Pulis picking internationals is there?
The only one I can think that he has issues with playing after he's been on international duty is Fuller.
