Played rounders at primary school which was bloody good fun. Set me up for a career in hockey.

It’s just rounders in gaudy uniforms.
Only with more steroid usage and domestic abuse.
‘Murica.

I tend to think of baseball as having older than average fans. Not sure if that's an accurate perception. I think soccer (since I'm talking about the United States and Canada) will overtake it in the next two decades. anyone else love baseball?? i like the houston astros great sport! The lack of any sort of salary cap is slowly ruining it...it's well on it's way to a "Big 6" of Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Mets, Dodgers, and Angels. They don't have a hard salary cap, but they have a luxury tax. Teams that go over the cap have to pay a luxury tax. Despite the fact that the tax is quite high - up to 50% of the excess amount - a few teams, foremost the Yankees, choose to pay it rather than stay within the salary cap.

I'm still trying to work out who to "support" in the London Series - Yankees v Red Sox (or 'Man U v Liverpool' when I try to explain to non-baseball people). Or I may just sit back and enjoy the occasion.

Yankees fans actually aren't that bad, at least when compared to Red Sox fans. I've lived in both the New York City and Boston areas and thus have been exposed to both.

I've grown to really like it - especially with it being availble on TV and streaming here. I adopted the Mariners in 2000 after a road-trip to Seattle, but you have to watch a game fully to understand the scoring and some of the technicalities - it's really absorbing - moreso than cricket I'd say (sorry). It also helped that my son wanted to play when we came back from a trip to the US a few years ago. That meant tracking down a reasonably local team with a junior section and swatting up on the rules of the game for him and me to get the most out of the sport. We're really lookig forward to the MLB London Games in June. Hopefully it'll be a great day out like the NFL games have become. I'm a Mariners fan since 2009 and went to a couple of games at Safeco Field. The past two mornings I've woken up early to catch the last couple of innings live on mlb.tv app, home runs got smashed over the Angels. This morning it was the big youth Daniel Vogelbach, yesterday it was Santana I think. A fine way to start the day. The pitching isn't great but we're scoring plenty and are 8-1. Goo Mariners!

It reminds me of rounders, the old games lesson at school!
