Whitehead - Hard worker but the most ungifted football i have come across (well almost)

Pugh is a little weak in the tackle in my opinion, but quite a tidy player.

We have been robbed by Sunderland with Whitehead and Collins. Not impressed with either of them.
Therefore Pugh gets my vote.

Both are very uninspiring and neither are premier league quality. Although if I had to pick from one of them, then I'd go for Pughy as he does have some ability to pass, control and do something with the ball unlike Whitehead.

Pugh. Central midfield is his best position by far.
