I really enjoyed last nights game, second half obviously from a Stoke perspective, but what shone out most of all was the honesty of the two teams involved.
This was highlighted in one particular incident when Griffin absolutely wiped out their coloured wide player (apologies for not knowing his name). It was an horrendous tackle, and if committed this Saturday would undoubtedly have resulted in him being sent off with the tackled player rolling around until his heart is content.
Not this lad though...He jumped straight back to his feet, told his team-mates that he was OK, shook hands with Griff and got on with the game.
I may be sad, but it was an absolute delight to witness and when the player was eventually subbed, I personally gave him a standing ovation from my unusual position behind the dugouts!
A super game...There is a hell of a lot to be said for the Championship and the teams that reside there. Money aside (as it obviously has transformed the club), that league is fantastic and I miss it at times.
Well done to both sides on a cracking game and one of the best second half efforts that you are likely to witness.

First reaction was that Griff would be sent off but fair play the other lad just shrugged it off.

BM...Maybe Holloway hasn't had the time to get his claws into them as yet, but they were certainly a lot different to other Holloway sides that have visited us.
Nowhere to be seen was the gamesmanship, time-wasting, cynical fouls and the moaning. Just 11 hard working honest professionals giving it their all.
I was impressed with them to be honest, but thought that Stoke were absolutely superb second half. Power, pace, quality and strength in abundance it seemed.
The lack of diving, moaning and cheating was a real joy though and the first game I have seen of this nature since promotion.
