Ive just read on the Sky website that he was racially abused by some sections of the Stoke fans. Bollocks i was right by the incident and it was one man who made comments to Euell and he looked a can short of a 4 pack. Hardly sections of the home support was it. He was dealt with and ejected so why even bring it up. Olly also states that he thinks he is naieve for thinking racial abuse has disappeared from the game. One idiot hardly makes for a racist epidemic at Stoke now does it, but any outsider will read this garbage and come to the wrong conclusion. Our name in the mud again!

There was a hell of a lot of proper scratters in tonight, around where i sit i didn't recognise anyone at first, and heard a lot of stupid talk.
Then i was relieved to see the old fella i usually see just a couple of rows in front having difficulty holding his hot pie, as usual. :-)

I was 4 rows behind and 3 seats(ish) along from the incident. Did not notice /hear what was said to Euell, but it was discussed for a minute and got Holloway well annoyed and shouted at the bloke. Can only assume it was some racist comment cos the bloke got chucked out straightaway without any argument. He did look a bit (for want of a better term) 'simple'. Hope we are not all tainted by one idiot.

On talk sport this morning brazil did say that it was one fan involved who was later detained. No talk of section of fans. Unfortunately though there was no mention of the football spectacular that took place. Shame incident has overshadowed our incredible comeback in the eyes of the media.

Scum of the earth.
I went last night and what a £10 that was. Fully expecting to wake up and read and watch the magnificent comeback from the death for a change for us.
All over the place is headline's such as Fan ejected for racial abuse etc. I'm disgusted and very disappointed. This idiot should be named and shamed and see if he enjoys being shouted at for being a racist prick while walking around minding his own business.
Again.........scum of the earth.

I've written to the BBC about the inaccuracy in this article. Dear BBC, In your article entitled "Holloway anger at 'racist abuse'" you state that Jason Euell, an unused substitute at the Stoke v Blackpool match "was racially abused by Stoke FANS" (plural). In the article, Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is quoted as saying "A racist remark was made to Jason by ONE supporter. I hope the fellow is banned for life". Whilst I echo the sentiments of the Blackpool manager and hope Stoke do ban the 'fan' for life (and that the Staffordshire police prosecute him), I do find that you are misleading your readership by suggesting in your opening paragraph that Euell was being racially abused by numerous Stoke fans, and not just one as is clearly the case. As a Stoke fan I'm used to having my team looked down on by the press and media, but please stick to the truth when you talk about the fans and edit your article. Many thanks,

I must say judging by some of the comments on this MB this week by some 'fans' I'm not at all surprised to hear about last night's racist incident.
Add in the BNP songs and some of the even more unsavoury songs about pakistani's that are becoming more regular and we may start to get a reputation again for all the wrong reasons.
The club, with the help fellow Stokies need to stamp on these incidients soon.

I make no apologies for using this word but these Spacktards need fucking off. Retarded brainless monglodites with no education. Ironically half the pricks will put down Fuller or Faye as their favourite player. They need banning for life . And as for those pricks who sing the IRA song, fuck me they wouldn't know the difference between the IRA and DFS the cocks.

I completly agree with some of the above comments. I was in the Boothen End last night and there were a lot of unfamiliar faces around, people with no idea about the the club but with with a lot to say. I dread to think what iit would be like if it was a tenner every match and people sitting where they want!

The quality control of the BBC news website is utter shit. It's obvious that the story was written by someone who has no understanding of singular and plural (and more worryingly the editor doesn't as well). Also if you click on the link that should direct you to story on the Observer website (bottom right corner of the page), it opens the story from the fucking Guardian. ;D As I say now quality control whatsoever. Oh and life ban for the culprit please!!

Your right about these scatter brains but sitting near by I heard some digusting remarks about coloured players, how can you make the these comments one moment then start chanting our players who are black by the way the next. These people have let the club down and instead of the headline Great Stoke fight back we get negative headlines, and that bloke who got nicked should be banned for life.

The Observer is the Sunday version of the Guardian.

I think Holloway should keep his big gob shut, if the man had any class, instead of bringing up 1 fan abusing 1 of his players he should of said what a great team performance it was against a strong Premiership team, he has taken the glory away from his players and diverted the loss from his own back.
The fan was dealt with by being ejected out of the ground and arrested by the police, case closed Holloway, move on.

If Holloway hadn't have said anything do you think the media would have picked up on it? I doubt it , and I'm glad he mentioned it. the sooner we name and shame these bigoted spunk trolleys the better the match experience will be without them. If it turned his post match interview into some kind of sour rant, so be it.

I'm not suggesting it's an epidemic or anything, but 1 is too fucking many in my eyes, and if it means bringing it to the media then so be it as far as I'm concerned. If it fucks people off that we are getting tarred with this kind of brush maybe the innocent majority will close ranks and put anyone right who is being a racist prick. As for the smoking, it just goes to show what a bunch of inconsiderate cunters we have amongst us. That said if the stewards did their job properly instead of sitting on their fat pie eating arses then the people smoking should be slung out aswell.

Lets's be fair to Holloway - he has given loads of post match interviews and on one (linked on another thread) to the BBC he has praised Stoke, their fans and the manager. No doubt he has spoken in positive terms in other interviews. But if he heard one of his players racially abused he is entitled to comment about it. If the editors of the news media choose to lead on the racial abuse rather than on the game that is up to them and the fault hardly lies at Holloway's door.
