What happened with Arsemendi? Why did he get taken off at half time?

Arismendi looked good when we gave him the ball. Not ready yet IMHO.
Fuller changed the game, they could not handle him.
Tuncay looked 10 times better with Fuller and Ringtone who seemed to be on his level.
Higgy did ok, Wilko worked hard, Ringtone was effective and there were a few nice touches from Tonge.
Unfortunately BT had a face like a slapped arse all night. All in all though a good night out (first 60 minutes excepted...).
PS Fuller seemed to pull up for no reason, he went straight off and we carried on with 10 men, please god be fit for the Shit. Arismendi looked like he has pulled a muscle, possibly his thigh or hamstring?

Wilko was my MOM
I don't think that arismendi touched the ball for 25 minutes! He's never a ball winner but he played it well when he got it to feet.
Strraaannngggeeee game!

Wilko my MOM. Thought Tonge had an excellent half after coming on, Matty was good. Tuncay looked good with Fuller, those two saturday please.
Griffin had a good game, fantastic goal, knew it was going in as soon as he headed for goal.

Arismendi played the only three good passes by a Stoke player in the first half, was injured and was limping as they went off at half time. Tuncay was twice the player when Fuller and Etherington came on and Stoke started to pass and keep the ball on the deck.

For me, Liam was MOM, closely followed by Danny Pugh. Both worked really 'aaard, chased up and down the pitch all night. Shocking first half, second half was fan-bloody-tastic.

Arismendi looked class, tuncay second half was superb. and him and fuller seem to be on the same wavelength.Ethers was also superb. But for me griff was man of the match, excellent all round and scored the winner.

Tuncay was awesome...he was brilliant ...he is just what we need...creative hard working not selfish...when he was not creating play, he was drawing defenders, which gave players like Ethers space to play and score..!! I'm a happy bunny ;D ;D

Big plus points were Ric, Tuncay (2nd half), Ethers (that's more like it Matty!) and Griff (barring to defensive slip ups!) Tongey did quite well to be fair when he came on.
On the down side Simmo still doesn't look like he could catch a cold, Beattie looked WAY off and Cort looked like Cort.
Tuncay's 2nd half showing was very exciting and he got stronger as the game went on, Arismendi started slowly but was looking brighter as the half went on, shame he had to go off. It was also good to see Higgy back in the team (he never lets us down!)
All in all a great nights entertainment, great spirit from the lads but a few things for TP to sort out.

A lot of the best performances were only 45 mins or less.
Tonge, Fuller and Ethers had a cracking second half and as others said Tuncay looked a different player when he suddenly had a few options.
I think i'd go for Pugh though as he was solid throughout and didn't really put a foot wrong.

Tuncay looked a different player 2nd half, what Tone said to him I don't know but looked absolute class. Griff had a storming run up the left wing early in the second half and played a 1-2 with Tuncay, the pass back from Tuncay was divine, inch perfect.
Arismendi looked good and calm on the ball, played a killer pass forward towards the end of the 1st half. Shame he's injured, I'd personally give him a go in the first team ahead of Whelan, see how he gets on. Definately one for the future.
Tonge for me was absolutely superb, I've never understood why Tony never plays him. He can really seek out a forward ball and looks first class on the ball.
Pughey was my Dad's motm and a good contender for mine, in the first half he was the only one that seemed to be bothered. Pugh and Tonge would make a cracking midfield IMO instead of/as backup for Rory and Glen.
Higgy and Cort were both crap at defending today, Cort did nothing in the air. Didn't think Wilko was much better. This is why we go looking for defenders to buy. It's because our backups are shite.
Ethers was superb when he came on, Griff had a cracking game except a couple of dodgy passes across his box, Simmo looked solid except on crosses, Fuller was world class - changed the game and excited the crowd.

Wilko played well, but the game was completely turned on its head when Fuller and Etherington came on. Tonge was steady and always seemed to use the ball well.

I have a lot of time for Pugh, works hard and has a cracking shot on him, but I still don't think he is quite good enough for a first team start???

Seems like its just me who didn't rate Tuncay as highly as everyone else is? Ye he did ok, but on a level with Lawrence, Fuller and Etherington when we stepped it up a notch. Other than that he did poorly first half, very weak again for the first 45 minutes, and should have buried his one on one (ala Beattie) - but he did alright nonetheless.
My personal man of the match was Danny Pugh, thought he put a cracking shift in and he is one of those players who always manages to have a steady game and really looks like he gives 100% consistently

Glad some mentions have been made of Pugh, Griff and Higgy. All 3 seemed to have a point to prove.
As someone else posted. What a strange game. Well worth £10.

Griffin had a stormer bar 1 or 2 little errors, probably my MOM, a close call with Pugh though.
Lawrence Beattie and Tuncay wound me up when they were arguing about who to take that penalty.....it should have been Beattie but not to worry.
Wilko played well as did Tongue when he came on, Soares a bit invisble, Arismendi played 1 or 2 excellent balls deffenaitly looks like theres something there.
Higgy and Cort - shakey
Beattie looked lost i felt couldnt even shoot at one point. Fuller, Etherington and Tonge all very good.
Erm think thats it

Fuller would be my man of the match, turned the game.
Arismendia was good on the ball, but was clearly injured and wasn't quite ready for the English game. His positioning was very off, so he was no good when the opposition had the ball.

Ethers and certainly Tuncay when he finally got the ball at his feet unlike the dross he was given first half thinking that he was Sidibe ffs!!!

tuncay for me was world class. Few clever flicks and great through balls, linked up well with Lenny and the touch leading to Fullers goal was fantastic, great flick over the defenders leg and good ball in. Also had a good flick on for Ethers' goal.

1st half not one stoke player played any where near there usual standard, beatie looked liked he couldnt believe he had been picked to play in this "low profile match",thought soares was the pick of a bad bunch,2nd half we were a different team, cant remember tongue wasting a pass, ric and ethers made a massive difference and apart from the last 10 mins when he tired ,tuncay looked the biz !

His positioning was very off, so he was no good when the opposition had the ball. A spot on assessment of Arismendi, he didn't have a clue how to mark his man, he looked lost. Whether this is due to a injury or communications problems I don't know ??? He was forever looking where he should be an obvious problem when you are not sure exactly what to do. He needs bedding in a bit more yet. Tuncay has finally found his feet and it was clear it was going to take a full game to do this, he got better and better as the game went on. Griff had a good game and was surprisingly pacey. Ethrington also made a huge impact as sub along with Fuller when he came on for his few minutes of fame. For me the man of the match due to his consistency through the match was Pugh
