Anyone notice Pulis' reaction to the 5 minutes added time? When the board went up, he was flapping his arms in the air like a madman, berating the 4th official. He wanted the game to end, he wanted to settle for the point. What a totally disgraceful negative attitude. Could he not see the game was still there to be won? To be fair to players, we then camped in and around the Bolton box for those 5 minutes. Perhaps if Pulis had more faith in his players and didn't contaminate their minds with his stifling negativity we might actually win more games away from home.

I'm sure I saw him throw his cap down in disgust and march onto the bench. He then went and replaced Fuller with Beattie which showed that he did not want to win the game. Pulis had a mare today.

Maybe he was hoping for longer so that we had more time to go for the winner?

M'mmm - maybe because like most of of us, we thought oh crap here we go again. After Collins mistake we were the only team to look likely to score BUT at the back of everyones mind was another Bolton goal - so at that point you have to be weird not to have said
a) where the hell did 5 mins come from b) I bet the bastards score another

Or better still George Burley. Why didn't he take the job!!!??? Where would we be now??? Blue Square??? How happy would the PHW's be then? Well, happy, I guess, as Pulis wouldn't be in charge and that would make all the difference. FFS.

I saw TP going mad with the 4th official because he wanted to make a substitution. TP was then screaming at everyone to go forwards.
The original post is such an appalling misrepresentation of the truth that TP could contact his solicitor!

Its the constant desperation from certain people to have a pop at TP that is a problem. They were wrong about him initially, have been wrong about him throughout his entire reign and now have to try and justify themselves with the flimsiest of opportunities. Its a shame.

Chester, please read my post, I was sitting directly behind him today. Ok I stand to be corrected, if you were much closer and saw it more clearly than I did. It still strikes me as rather odd that if Pulis was desperate to go all out for the win than why he did he waste critical seconds in added time by taking off our only striker left on the pitch?

I was wrong about him initially but he did a job and I was actually bemused at the parting of ways in 2005. Glad we got him back!!!

I was just behind the dugouts and they did not want to win the game at all.
1 min into injury time the ball trickled into the Bolton subs area and not one of the Bolton staff or subs moved an inch to get the ball.
Ricketts wandered over, fetched the ball then took his time over the throw.
Megson et all knew that a point had probably bought them an extra week in employment.
Pullis wanted to win it much more than they did.
