4 substitutions is 2 minutes Wasn't one a double substitution, though? That should make it one and a half minutes. I don't recall any major injuries. I'm not entirely convinced that Beattie and Sorensen took up a combined eight minutes, either. Mike Dean will be very happy with his day's work and I'm sure will be duly rewarded with wine and spirits by Peter Kenyon.

The injuries to Beatts and Tommy did not take up 8 minutes of added on time, I was even more disgusted with the 5 in the 2nd half. We played well, us supporters were outstanding, the tactics did work (before lordeff gets on here) it wasn;'t our day and 11 vs 13 isn't a very fair game to be playing Cheatski.

How many subs 2nd half came on,4? chelsea 3 us 1 so 30seconds per sub they say to allow = 2mins so 3 absolute tops!
Disgraceful that 5 went up and the cunts scored in the 4th.

Ive been saying for a few seasons now that where Chelsea are concerned the injury time is to suit the scoreline, if Chelsea were winning at 90mins yesterday then the injury time would have been the normal 2 or 3 mins. But because they were only drawing the injury time is always just long enough for them to score, the ref would of added on injury time ontop of injury time if needed.

4 substitutions and John Terry and Obi Mikel were both injured and needed treatment.

Beardy the injury time may have been correct , but would 5 minutes have been played if we were playing the likes of Bolton. i dont think so.

No idea mate i just don't like to whine about shit unless there is A LOT of evidence to support it. Yesterday's game there wasn't and if i look at it honeslty i reckon the time was about right in the 1st and 2nd half. Quotes like this: "But because they were only drawing the injury time is always just long enough for them to score, the ref would of added on injury time on top of injury time if needed." just sounds like sour grapes to me and i don't do that personally

Only unfair because it was unusual. In reality all matches should have several minutes extra at the end of each half. One or two mins is a joke when you actually weigh up waht goes on.

If we had the same system as in rugby we would have all been there at 5.10pm!

Most added minutes in a premiership game ever apparently.

I thought that 5 mins was stretching it a little, however it was the forced substitutions that killed us, we had players with tired legs whereas Chelsea were able to bring on fresh legs to finish the game strongly. It's uncanny though, luck does seem to favour the big four doesn't it. Oh well next home game perhaps it will be our turn.

More than that yesterday I think! It was 11 minutes in the first half alone, I still can't see where the 5 minutes in the second half came from though!
