Whilst having a clear out of old stuff in my bedroom, I stumbled upon 2 of my favourite games of all time: Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec Final Fantasy IX I couldn't believe how addictive both games still were and haven't stopped since Thursday when I found them.Think I've got a N64 somewhere as well.. Anyone else play on games from generations of old?

Managed to get an emulator working for the psx on the pc. Got through Final fantasy 8, just about to start 7. Downloaded but not played Tekken 3, Soul Reaver, Crash Bandicoot, Resi 2.
For the N64 its great because you can just download all the games that used to be 50 quid for free so downloaded loads of them that I never had the money to buy the 1st time round.
Also in the past, played Super Metroid, Mario World, Super Castlevania and Zelda for Snes.
Might try get the ps2 emulator working but dont think the pc will handle it, would love to play Gran Turismo 3 again. Remember that summer, got a guide in one of the magazines and all it said was get the rally licence, do all the races, get a fuck load of money in doing so, and win the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak (?) and that would basically win every race. Sorted ;D.

Final Fantasy VII.. what a game. VIII wasn't too shabby either Lew - The Pikes Peak, fucking mental car. I loved it but for steering it was utter horseshit. Always used to try and get the F1 car and then batter the rest of the game with that ;D

Peterspipe, I use Epsxe. It was a little confusing at first getting it up and running (tweaking bios files), but I think there was a guide of how to do it attached with the program, or I googled it and found a solution on a forum somewhere that was easy enough to follow. What’s good about it is, there’s also a little code you enter in command prompt that lets you use the ps3 controller with it, alternatively you can use a pc controller or keyboard. J, it was dog shit, having to brake a mile before the corner because you would be going at mach 3, then having everyone pass you because it handled like a boat, only to pass them on a straight. Shit car, good fun. What a monster

I got Legend of Zelda - a link to the past and command & conquer red alert on my flatmate's laptop last year (which completely knackered it). Zelda was absolutely awesome and still required a fair bit of thinking especially with going between the dark and light worlds, unfortunately the laptop died about 3/4 of the way through. Tried to get hold of Dune II (amiga) as well, the turn based predecesor to c&c.
Still got my snes at my parents' house, F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, Mario Allstars and ISS deluxe are all still fantastic games. ISS Deluxe was pretty much the last 2D football game, playstation came out shortly after and everything went 3D, i think konami made Goalstorm as their first 3D effort and it was absolutely terrible, probably why they didn't put the ISS name on it, and i think it was FIFA 95 that came out around the same time. FIFA road to world cup 98 and the first ISS on the N64 were when the 3D football games got good. ISS deluxe stands up to most of 'em even though it was 2D.

I still regularly play on Destruction Derby 2, in my opinion, it's the greatest game ever made. I also found a copy of Twisted Metal Black when i was having a clearout the other day, fuck that was one dark game. And that Escudo Pikes Peak used to shit on anything ;D

I still regularly play on Destruction Derby 2, in my opinion, it's the greatest game ever made Its in the top 10 thats for sure, as are the following in no particular order Gran turismo 3 (ps2) Grand Theft Auto 3 (ps2) Speedball 2 (amiga) Microprose F1GP (amiga) Championship Manager series (amiga/pc) Medal of Honour (pc) Sensible Soccer (amiga) Transport Tycoon (pc) as for old games I'm playing Transport Tycoon (often) www.openttd.org/en/return to castle wolfenstein (occasionally) need for speed porsche 2000 (occasionally) Imperial Glory (occasionally) Wish i still had a PS2 as I would still be playing Grant Turismo 3. If you want to get a car to fly. goto the san francisco style street circuit, get a car that can have large rear down force, but little front down force (pikes peak has too much front down force) , seem to recall the jag XJ220 race car was suitable . set gearing to in excess of 200mph set rear wing to full downforce set front wing to minimum downforce set rear ride hight to lowest set front ride hight to highest set front suspension to stiff as fuck and bouncy* set rear to soft the car will fly off some of those ridges, it will also wheelie down the hill if you get it right * yes that is a technical term ;D
