Is almost getting like that old sales fever you used to see when the big old chain stores opened just after christmas
i.e. punters fighting each other for any old piece of tat
surely we cant afford that -we've gone in - been patient and scored a major coup already.
BUT
absolutely LOADS of names we're connected with on here by fans who should know better, Names of players we surely wouldnt want e.g. David James, Benjani even Petrov ???????
for goodness sake folks - let the man do his job - HE knows what we need
('real' premiership fullbacks would be my amateur hour punt)
Speculation is fine - but again some of this is just hysterical rubbish and most even coming from an even more stupid 'red top' press too
I'm personally looking more now, for those players who must now surely leave today i.e. those not quite good enough for the levels to which we now aspire.
to me - thats now far more important
And they will leave with my thanks and grattitude for helping us get to where we now are

Why wouldn't we want Petrov, just out of interest?

Petrov
if Im absolutely objective, I really dont see him adding much more than we've already got
a nice footballer on the eye, but slow as hell too !
we need players like Tuncay more, i.e. who add skill - and as crucially - a bit of pace and agility.

It's the lad at Citeh we've been linked to. Pacy left winger.

ahh see - more interesting - but then - how hard is it to pick out of the excellence we've already got ?
Against Sunderland, it was nice to see how our midfield 'upped their game' quite a few notches, knowing what was sitting on the bench
from that perspective the lad at Citeh WOULD be an interesting addition

I expect as it's your duty that everyone else on here will now do the same. *click*

I wondered if Tuncay would be playing on the left but if we've signed him to play up front, then Etherington would have a real battle on his hands, to put it nicely, if Petrov were to sign.

Do you think Pulis needs this kind of inane background noise when he's involved in delicate negotiations with Kranjcar, David James, The Dixie Chicks and Cannon and Ball? Really?

Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball probably can make a through pass, better than our present fullbacks (to be fair)

Uraguyan destroyers now

(be rather handy if he can chuck a throw in 50 yards horizonally too though !)
and - Richard Creswell must be thinking
what do I have to do to get a game now ?
