Not sure why. Particularly after today's performance from Tommy. He was excellent.

Odd that both papers mention the same three teams.
Even if he doesn't come (which, let's face it, he won't), very odd that we should be looking for a keeper who'd clearly come in as No.1 - if there's a shred of truth in it.

Speculation. Any team will be chucked in there to attract interest from better clubs. You should know this now.

"The club are anxious to sell any of their big-name players earning more than £30,000"Well there's a Croation playmaker that would fit in just nicely up here please.

Dave yesterday seemed to dismiss any chance of getting anyone from Pompey despite our interest as they are being very unreasonable and impossible to deal with

I cannot see the point in looking at someone like David James, he would just warm the bench and we would be paying throught the nose for him. Tommy is going well and is very consistent for us and i agree that good cover is essential, but a player who is what 37 years old is this the way to go...?

It defies logic and I can't understand why we've been linked (unless we're a poor man's Man Citeh following our recent splurge). We need midfield players - not a goalkeeper. Sorro and Simmo are a perfectly good No.1 and No.2, with Simmo even declaring he's happy to stay at Stoke as second-choice,. Why upset the applecart?

For £1.5million i say is a snip + another international in the side + increased competition can't be that bad.
I rate Foster and think he will be the next England goal keeper for the world cup.
I like the sponsor on th epic of james ....jobsite ... very applicable.....lol

James has been left out of the Pompey team today, on his way to Spurs I would think

Why would Spurs want James? Gomes is now showing his potential, and Cudicini (a Redknapp signing) has proved a more than capable second keeper - and a better age than James.
Typical Redknapp I guess...sign every fooker available.

please not david james. i dont know who's worse, james or carson. Well one has set several Premier League records and has played in a major international tournament, and the other makes exciting trips to Scunthorpe and Doncaster every other week.
