I don't. After this shit with Nudger and the Upton park war. I've had my fill of football violence this month.
Vale are the LAST team i want to face.

We'd be alrate.... Ian Bogie aint playing for them now, we might just have a chance of beating them Stoke vs Port Vale - What local football derbies are all about, and with Pulis now at the helm, the passion would be back.... the Icelandics just didnt seem to understand

Bloody last thing I want!
You just know that TP would play something like tonight's team and that could spell disaster. If we're going to do our usual trick of losing the lower league opposition, I for one certainly don't want it to be against the Vale.

Better if it was at our place so that there'd be a 20 000 plus crowd.

Id give that a miss personally right now we have nothing to gain and everything to lose. TP wouldnt want a 1st team run out so more of what you had tonight, no thanks.
Home draw against someone dull give the 2nd team another 90 mins, sorry to be a killjoy

No, lets save them for the final, that way our victory would never be forgotten by fans of both clubs.

Vale traditionally upset us... I'd like us to get the Vale but I'd prefer Blackpool

I would not be averse to hugging a Vale divorcee in her mid thirties when Stoke score...

Are you all serious? It puts us in a no win situation.
If we win we are expected to, we are Prem.
If we lose every Vale fan will be taking the P**s for the next 10 years it will be their finest hour.
I still remember when they beat us at the Brit, they still crow about it now.
NO THANK YOU.

No offence to you guys but I'd rather not play you either! Even with it being a derby, I'd expect you to field a reserve team which is still a pretty decent side. Plenty of players in that side will understand what a derby means, unlike in the Icelandic era where we were more up for it than you were. I doubt it would get a full house at either ground (our last league meeting at VP only attracted 12k).
Personally speaking I'd rather have any other Premier League team (except Hull) at home, or one of the local PL team away. Ideally away at Liverpool. It may be their reserve team too but it would be more money in the coffers for us. In saying that though we'll probably get Scunthorpe or West Brom away and lose!

I'd take Vale at home quite happily.
There would not be widescale trouble as there was with Milwall/West Ham because there isn't the hatred, despite some pretending there is. Chances are if we played Vale at least there would be something to play FOR, and given the respective fortunes of the sides over the last few years it would seem unlikely we're to play each other regularly any time soon.
I think Vale at the Brit would produce a 20,000 plus gate and i'd still expect us to see them off with whatever side we put out, given their current position and playing staff.

would love play them at the brit imagine that like 1000 vale fans stepping into the bear pit they would prob freak out lookin at how outnumbered they would be with 20,000 plus stokies out singing nd out playing the vale
