I'm of the very small camp that thinks Shorey is a pretty good player. He did really well for Reading, but has obviously had some problems with O'Neill at Villa, which concerns me somewhat. However, he is a full-back that can get down the wing and support Etherington, and has an excellent delivery on him. It would also save us £5million on Collins, as Higginbotham could play/cover in the middle of the back four.

We need support for Higgy in case of injury, but Shorey isn't the answer.
I expect to see another fairly mobile, left footed, centre back to sign. I will be amazed if TP signs a typical full back.

Nope ive allways thought he was dross at Reading when we played them in the championship.. As Hookey proved any decent winger and he cant defend.. And he is very slow as well.. And as well according to my Villa mate is that he cant pass, Shoot and a big attitude problem.. during games |
