If we can stay up for another season then the transfer targets that seem unrealistic this year may be a little more realistic next

I'd take 16th, though be happy to spend some time in the last few weeks NOT worrying about relegation. They should all come back and do these predictions again after the end of the transfer window - so many teams (not just Stoke) not set yet with who their squad will actually be come September 1st.

I'd much rather see Brum drop than Burnley.
And, 16h would be fine, as long as its not the nail biting, shaking in the corner episodes at the last 2 matches of the season.

If we can stay up for another season then the transfer targets that seem unrealistic this year may be a little more realistic next Agreed. I'd take 16th now based upon that. However, if we can get above 15th again, it will be another great year and give us even more weight in the transfer market.

If things don't change player wise we could well be bottom imo

I'd be happy with 16th, but to tell you the truth I don't really listen to the pundits as I wont be bothered where we finish as long as it is not in the bottom 3. Just establishing ourselves as a premier league club again is good enough for me. Anyway ill predict us to finish 14th.

If they were a movie star they would be...
Gene Hackman Grizzled, unorthodox, but strangely watchable
We've been called alot worse!!!
16th will do me just fine

Wonder which street they'd change to Tony Pulis Way?? ;D
I think that's a good fair analysis, I'm feeling bullish enough not to take 16th if it was offered now though, two or three key signings and we can match or improve on last season.

I honestly think we were lucky last season despite our position and desperately need new players this season for us to survive. Besides the players need the morale boost just as much.
Gordonseye Stoke City through and through ;-)

You can't say they'll be below us. I'm just saying any team that doesn't strengthen in the Prem is on a slippery slope. Yes the table looked good but, most of those games were only by one goal or draws The players themselves need an boost. Teams like Burnley won't just lie down. Make no mistake, they'll be fired up for this. A few new faces might, just might give us that boost and the odd surprise for some teams Anyway i hope you're right mate

All teams draw a few mate - and you get the same number of points for winning by one goal as you do for four.
