If Bolton and Wigan etc can then i can't see why we can't. BUT we have to change out away tactics. Which comes down to better ball retention.

It's all about perception I don't think Wigan are a premier league team and I doubt I will ever think of them as one.

I can't be arsed read what people have said but yeah we can & we WILL. If Fulham & Wigan can be successful (even though Wigan are going down this season) then a team who have much bigger potential definitely can; Hull have bigger potential than both of these teams aswell but there board & manager are not good enough for there team and don't have an aura; Where as Stoke have an aura of a good future; everything is progressing at a good rate and with TP & Coates still here then we WILL become stronger

Our tactics away from home relate to the type of players that were available to us but if we can attract players with the quality of Ashton, Danny murphy then we will be able to get more possession, which is the name of the game in the Prem

not without a better backroom and a bigger boardroom we can't. also, our transfer policy is far too restrictive.

I wouldn't be so sure wigan will go down, they still have some reallly good players and martinez has had an impressive managerial career in England (well, Wales) so far.
However I think Hull appear to be fucked, portsmouth appear to be fucked, and one of the promoted three is bound to go down, so i definately see us in the premiership next season.
In the longer term, our downfall could be loading the club with massive salaries by spending Coates' money recklessly.

Irish stokie: I pretty much agree with that. With a few obvious exceptions, I don't think it was our tactics that let us down away from home last season so much as our performances. I argued at the time, and still do, that a lack of quality in the areas of ball retention and passing were our undoing. Hopefully, with a few quality additions to the team, that can be rectified and we can be far more successful.

If we can recreate the same atmosphere as we did last season, most teams will struggle coming to The Brit. There should be more optimism coming into this season, so there's no reason why we can't make it even better.
We do need to improve both our possession and away record, and both improved at the end of the season; progression needed there.
Just need to get rid of some of the deadwood (Cresswell, Griffin, Sonko, Tonge et al) and replace them with better players. If we can get 2/3 first team starters, then we stand a good chance.

We can. But it takes a long time and our way of playing has to start to evolve.

Yes. We are, in historical terms, a top flight club. We can re establish ourselves as a top flight club again. Three problems to overcome are i.) second season syndrome, ii.) not getting bored of lower to mid table finishes...just getting roots firmly embedded is vitally important and most worrying for me iii.) the so called top four/five breaking away to form a European League...that would kill it for me. Every time we make ground it's taken away. I am not one of those who subscribe to the 'fook them(top 4/5) off to their own league and we can get on with our league without them' brigade. What would be the point of aspiring to greater heights in a league without the best teams???
