I agree, some people dont think that you can be a bad player if you play for a big club. Stay away TP.

He carnt be as bad as andy'i give penalty's away every week'griffin I saw him play at Middle Eastlands half a dozen times last season and he was crap, even his own fans were giving him grief everytime he touched the ball. No better then anyone we already have.

Dunne would be an excellent signing. We are strong in the posistion but what's wrong with being completely blessed?

SCFC2008....How many penalties has Andy Griffin given away in the last 2 years......I can only think of one at home to Derby that was harsh to say the least and one away at Watford which Rob Styles later said he got wrong......Whats with all this Anti Griffin shit...

This thread makes you wonder whether some watched football prior to last season. Dunne is a top player and an admittedly mixed season last time round and Man City's triumph in the petrol lottery possibly make him attainable for a club like ours.
The gulf in class between Dunne and say Sonko, Cort and even perhaps Higgy is too big to describe. I'd take him like a shot.

8 straight red cards and 7 own goals. Mmmmmm I'd fuck him off too if I were his manager!

And don't give me any of this "move Abdy into midfield" bullshit. I think it would be based on form Rob and I genuinely think Dunne is good enough to push Ryan and (tin hat on ) Abdy all the way.

But then you have a problem. Abdy - Best defender at the club by a mile, probably better than Dunne. Not going to get dislodged short of some kind of injury or mental breakdown. Shawcross - Good player, would probably be the player to compete for his place with Dunne. If he drops to the bench in place of Dunne, he could quite happily go 'nuts to you lot, I'm going to Tottenham because they're a bigger club and I'll play the same amount of games for more money'. We then end up back where we started except both of our centre-backs are old. Dunne - won't come here to sit on the bench. Maybe he'll play right back so we can have centre backs all across the back four

See what you’re saying MD but just because we are in good nick at centre half doesn’t mean we shouldn’t pursue other top class options. I’m sure Beatie, Ricky and our impending new centre forward won't like sitting on the bench but one of them will be.

It's not like we can get someone in on loan should Faye or Shawcross get injured. If that happens and we have no decent back up, we will probably go down. Lets not worry about how players feel about being on the bench, keeping the dressing room happy is probably Tony's best (only? ) skill.

Indeed, if you asked me which Premiership footballer I'd least like to fight, it'd be close between him, Abdy and John Terry. However, I would love Ryan to stay and flourish with us, and Andy can help him along. Leon Cort is adequate back-up (don't remember many injuries to Abdy or Ryan as yet), and should we get a quality left-back in, Higginbotham can keep those two on their toes. ...And Dunne could probably go to a much bigger club, as much as it pains me to say.

We need a better back up than Sonko or Cort. Both aren't good enough imo.
I'm unsure on Dunne, he's painfully slow and does get in a lot of trouble re og's, sending offs and penalties because of it. He is a decent centre back but I'm not a particular fan.
