I thought we played Wolves IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP yesterday....yet I've watched ITV's The Championship until the 1st break and there has been no mention at all yet.

I wonder how much prominent it would have been if Wolves had beaten us 4-2? Can't believe we were tucked away behind Burnley vs fucking Colchester!
Also, why is it that we're constantly labelled "ugly" and "physical", yet Watford rarely are and Adie Boothroyd was virtually championed for his "results are all that matter" speech? Why is it ok for them in the eyes of the pundits, yet we're the bullying football anti-Christs?

From a personal standpoint it's annoying to have to wait through half an hour of stuff I don't care about to see the goals from yesterday, but I do think it's ever so slightly paranoid to suggest this shows some sort of anti-Stoke bias in the scheduling. I guess it's possible that whoever decides the schedule is putting such an appealing game near the end precisely to get us all to sit through 3 sets of adverts before it comes on. I certainly turned off as soon as I'd seen us. If I were scheduling the championship programme with a view to maximising the audience, I'd stick us on near the end I'm afraid, not because I thought it was an unimportant fixture, but precisely because I knew people would be interested enough to slog through Deepdale etc. to see it.

astro, I understand what you're saying ..... BUT ..... there is an obvious lack of interest in all things Stoke from the general media, and ITV seem to be more prone to ignoring us than others.

Has it EVER been any different with ITV ? not as long as I can remember , they have ALWAYS ALWAYS treated us this way , the only way we got on first on the Central news programms when I was living in stoke was if there had been trouble, or we were playing one of their "pet" teams like Brum, Baggies or Wolves , seem to recall there being letters sent to Central TV published in the Oatcake in the mid 1990's on the same subject

The structure seems to be two featured matches at the beginning and end with all the other games in between in alphabetical order. Since we played away against the last team, alphabetically, in the CCC, our game came on last.
But you're right, you'd have thought a derby game between two of the biggest clubs in the league would rate higher than Leicester v Plymouth as a choice for a featured game, which only had the Holloway angle providing any interest.
