He's great cover for right back but got to improve his distribution.

i think hes decent. the lad he was against on the left wing seemed a bit of a handful and he had a lot of pace about him. it was a well disciplined perfomance by zak.

He did a fantastic block (tackle) when Ebanks- Blake looked like scoring.

Zak had a pretty torrid afternoon at the hands of Matt Jarvis imo.
We were linked with Jarvis at one time when he was at Gillingham and Paul Scally seemed to think that we were interested in him. Looked a good player with plenty of pace and trickery.
I wonder how interested TP was in him?

We were favourites to sign him, it surprised me when he went to Wolves. You can't help but wonder what happened when you know that Scally was involved.

Zak was probably the weakest of our players today and, as Davef said, he was given a pretty torrid time by Jarvis.
He doesn't inspire confidence at right back but he is a game competitor and you have to give him that.

He sounded dodgy on the commentary. Each time his name was mentioned there was a noise from the crowd as if Zak had been beaten and they were pressing forward.
However, Lawrence sounded immense.

I kept waiting for TP to insist that Lawrence and Delap swapped wings so that Zak would have a bit more protection, but it never happened, and actually although they threated down that side Zak was admirable in everything except his distribution.
Oh and Smudge.... did you know that Mrs Smudge is stalking me... every time I go the Co-op or Tesco there she is. We all know that I'm better looking than you, but she's making it a bit too obvious... ;D

Gabby as Joe said sounded terrible on the commentary - pretty much everytime they mentioned him it was someone gone past him etc.
Didn't sound good, thankfully Griff will return to add a bit of order to the back four for s'hampton!

Mentioning Griff shows how good it is that we won with some significant absentees. Their suspensions almost help us. With three games in less than a week some may need to be rested. The suspensions helped Tone make some of those decisions!

I have to disagree with a few. From the main stand I thought Zak had a decent game, the problem he did have was Liam was n't supporting him.
As a defender in a 50/50 I want Zak in our side before any other. Maybe his distribution is poor but he's a real 100 percenter

Maybe better at centre half, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt, as a right back i wouldn't take him if they gave him on a free with wages paid!!
Got tore to bits yesterday. Everything Wolved through at us came from their left and he couldn't get near them or block any crosses into the box.
I said before the game that their threat was from both flanks and with Griff out i was worried. Pugh did better the Gabby, but again he was much better going forward than stopping the crosses coming into the box.

He was definately at fault for the second goal and from what I saw it looks like again he was oretty shoddy. Definately one that we could do without. He will never be good enough for championship football let alone premiership. We probably won't hear of him again after this season.

I thought he did alright, had to cover two players most the time... Jarvis and Gray at left back, who played well going forward.
