Own up, was anyone optimistic enough to get it right at the start of the season?
I predicted 14th, same pattern as last year when I predicted 4th and we came 2nd...

I predicted us to be in a tight and heavy battle to avoid the drop. Ending up at 12th spot without having to chew on my fingernails at the last match of the season is quite a luxury!

didn't really pick a position as such in august, but was confident we'd stay up. In december on the bbc predictor i had us 9th on 43 points. Not a million miles out!!!

I remember saying 14th on 42 points....10 home wins and 12 points away however we managed them. Not far off for an old-un....and I will settle for that again next season.

I don't think I did, just voiced concerned that we needed knew players. at the beginning of the season I thought we would finish 17th or 18th, Beattie and ethers changed that about.

I, thinking myself to be very optimistic went for fourteenth, when really I'd have been delighted with staying up on the last day on goals scored.

I never thought we'd go down, but I never made a specific prediction.

i genuinely didn't have a clue. in fact, i was firmly in the camp of, as long as we weren't embarrassed (which i didn't think we would) i didn't care.

I was hoping to avoid instant relegation. 1 place above relegation would have done me proud. I'm bloody chuffed with what the team have achieved. ;D

Honestly? 17th or 18th.
Thought Baggies and Hull were certs, with either us or Blackburn taking the last relegation spot.
That teaches me. ;D
