Looks like Martin Spinks has predicted Zakuani at RB, with Delap and Lawrence on the flanks?
He may stil not be as fit as he'd like - but it could be an interesting indicator as to whether Gallagher will be a central figure or a peripheral figure between now and May?
Sentinel probable teams
Wolves: Hennessey, Foley, Gray, Breen, R Edwards, Elliott, Henry, D Edwards, Jarvis, Keogh, Ebanks-Blake.
Stoke: Simonsen, Zakuani, Pugh, Cort, Shawcross, Lawrence, Diao, Whelan, Delap, Sidibe, Fuller.

I figured he'd get Whelan in the middle by putting Delap right and Lawrence left as well.
Shame we won't see Gally start, but not too surprising - I'd rather this than see Pugh play on the left of midfield again anyway.

Is Dicko fit again? If he is, i'd expect Dicko LB and Pugh LM. Diao and Delap in the middle.
Parkins Roll will be egg and bacon with lashings of Brown Sauce.

Is Gally carrying an injury or just not thought to be match fit??

Not sure about that, lord, he's had a great run till the last couple of games. And it's never been TP's to drop players quickly has it? But I'm wondering what Pugh's natural role is with the new signings, think that might take a while to settle.

Simmo
ZAK Cort shawcross Pugh Delap Whelan Diao Lawrance mamma fuller
i think that is the only choice aint it given injuries/suspensions....?

Seems an unnecessarilyweak team that one, I hope spinks is wrong. I would much rather see Delap at full-back instead of Zakuani and Gally starting on the left, with Lawro on his usual right. Oh, and anyone but Sidibe up front (Rooney please, if Cressy is suspended) I am totally sick of him missing every single time from 5 yards.

I’d go: -
Simo, Zak, Cort, Shawcross, Pugh, Lawrence, Diao, Wheelan, Gally, Sidibe, God

i cant comment on rooney personally but people who have commented after watching him play at international level say he is still too light weight and his passing and first touch still need huge improvement thats why he wont play tomorrow plus he's gone out on loan aint he dont think unless huge injuries we will ever see TP play delap at Right back TBH.....

Reading below a few threads seems Rooney's out on loan ... again. He isn't too lightweight, there is no stipulation that you have to be of the stature of Akinbiyi to be a good striker. Rooney proved over a season ago that he has the knack of scoring goals, a rarity.
Should be in the squad instead or Porkin and Pericard IMO.

whydeliah.... do you think TP will Drop Delap .One because of the threat caused by his long throw .Two Because of his ever improving form in the midfield......?
i dont and i hope for one he doesnt.....

Don't think Gallagher's played since playing for Preston on New Year's Day.
It'll be interesting to see when he gets his first start.
You'd think Pulis is always going to favour a more defensively-minded/ aard-working player starting, especially away.
Then again, he might surprise us and chuck Gally in tomorrow.

Take away the throw and theres not a lot there is there. Think Whelaen and Diao should start playing together with Lawrence and Gally. Delap is going to cause us problems selection wise and as I said before TP needs to be strong now.

Agree with Grapey - TP is always going to go for caution away from home, so I'd be amazed if Gally started.
Not convinced Rooney will make it tbh, but can't imagine he'd fit into our style of play away from home. This is one game where I think Mama will have an impact - the Watford game last week showed how vulnerable the Wolves defence is, and I think they'll struggle to cope with Mama's physical presence.

Id rather see Dicko istead of pugh at LB
If we need to change things witha sub... Pugh will be a better sub to bring on rather than dicko
Pugh could change the middle of midfield, or anywhere on the left side?

George Havent you seen his last 5 or so performances??? he was man of the match in at least three of them! his form at the start of the season was below average which is a given he was recovering from a heafty injury but on the last couple of weeks performances he shouldnt be taken outta the team! i agree with you RVD10 about mamma tommorow he should be the source to give fuller "the GUn" his bullets.......haha shite analogy but ow well

I think Gally's going to be on the bench.
TP's philosophy away from home (and often at home) is built from defending the draw first, seeing if Rick can nick one or we score from a set-piece, then sit back. If we can draw them out at that point we can hit them on the break and potentially score more. If we don't get another, we get 20 minutes of Alamo-style defending (which all too often doesn't work!!).
He's not gonna change that to accomodate flair. I have come to accept that (even if I don't like it). You can't argue with the results!

I hope there aren't any last-minute shenanigans with Sir Ricardo 4PM UPDATE: CITY WAIT ON FULLER Be the first reader to comment on this story 15:36 - 08 February 2008 Star striker Ricardo Fuller failed to make training today after being delayed en route back to the Potteries from Jamaica. But City's 13-goal hitman is still pencilled into tomorrow's squad at Wolves despite missing today's crucial session to put the finishing touches to Stoke's preparations. Fuller has been away all week after playing the best part of 90 minutes in Jamaica's 1-1 draw at home to Costa Rica in Wednesday evening's friendly in Kingston. Manager Tony Pulis, already frustrated by Fuller's call-up for a friendly, was believed to be somewhat peeved by the Jamaican's no-show this morning. Midfielder Glenn Whelan and defender Ryan Shawcross were both back in harness, however, after returning from their international dates with Ireland and the England under-21s respectively. Shawcross lines up in central defence as usual at Molineux tomorrow, while Whelan is hoping for a first start in a Stoke shirt as Pulis caters for the loss of the suspended Richard Cresswell. Gabriel Zakuani is favourite to provide insurance cover at right-back as Andy Griffin sits out a one-match ban.

Zakuani is no right back, i would be disappointed if Spinks was right with that team
Delap RB and Gally LM is the way forward but its Pulis of course

If Fuller doesn't start:
simo rory corty shawsy dicko lenny sali wheelo pughy mama gally
Subs: hoult, zak, parky, ricci and ANOTHER

The Show-Pony playing Left-Midfield, under Pulis; have you gone mad!?
One of three things would need to (have) happen(ed):
1. The Show-Pony has lost his show and understands tracking-back 2. Pulis is manager of Southampton 3. Every other player in the squad with anything like a decent left-foot is banned/injured/dead
;D

georgie2. A few games ago I might have agreed with you re Delap, as he didn't impress me with his input. However, the last few games he has improved vastly. He is much more involved with the game, and his defensive qualities have come to the fore. We are now in the fortunate position of being able to argue the best team to put out. I think we'll beat the Wolves tomorrow, but am a bit scared of the fact that they have been having a bit of a bad run lately, and as we know, there is know team like Stoke for helping struggling clubs.
