Anyone know of this band from Stoke who were going in the 80's? Bought a single of theirs the other day and it's just arrived called "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me". Only bought it because my old college lecturer was the lead singer (big Stoke City fan too ) and my mate's dad played synth, but they're pretty good!

is it a 7" or a 12"? Do you want to come round mine and wop it on my turntable and let me put a needle in it? ;D

Yes! Just seeing the original of Hey Girl Don’t Bother Me on telly made me Google it and got me to this thread. Used to watch Mightier Than Kong gigging in 82/83 and am still friends with their bass player, Ben Bowker.
Does this win the prize for the longest dormant thread being revived?
12 years!!!!!!

That missing space gives a whole different meaning than you probably intended I think there was another rock band from stoke No Favours or No Favors and of course Demon who have been going forever.

I have the United Nations album titled "The First Move". Quite a decent album for its time. They re-recorded it in 2014 with new vocalist Lee Smalls.Although I prefer the original, felt the vocals had more feeling to them. Saw No Favors support FM at the Viccy Hall and if memory serves me correctly, wasn't there another Stoke band played on Friday Rock Show. Le Griffe "Fast Bikes"?
