It was my wife's due date with our son (first child) 14 September 2004 when we played Ipshit at home and won 3-2, with a late winner from Ade, to go top of the Championship.
She had begged me not to go in case she went into labour, but I simply had to. She went ballistic, not an ideal state when 9 months gone.
The little bugger kept us waiting for two more weeks anyway, but to this day that evening is used against me in arguments. Cracking game mind! ;D

I was that pissed after our promotion play-off against Cardiff I missed my plane to America for a month detachment and had to pay my own fare. Still worth it though.

The biggest thing I've missed for SCFC is the other part of my life, 'cause my time is spent either watching them or reading about them,or on the oatcake. Am I sad?

Not things I've missed as such, but me and my dad cut a holiday short in Mallorca to get back in time for the first home league game at the Brit, against Swindon.
I also discharged myself from hospital with food poisoning to go to the away play-off semi at Leicester. Felt dog rough all day, hardly said a word, and got shown on bloody telly looking like death warmed up! F**king Graham Potter!

on saturday i'm missing an important birthday on my other half's side... she specifically told me the date ages ago to which i confidently replied "yeah sure. season will be over by then." i searched for ages, then i managed get a ticket for the game, then rang her up and said "i'm so sorry, my mums just bought me a ticket. would be rude not to go now..."

couple of promotions in work , gods knows how much from my bank balance and a life really.. Plus , 7 days stay in hospital after Padova when I signed myself out after 3 days in order to get back in time for Notts County..was only when I got the press cuttings and the doctors letters translated that I found out what the hospital were wittering on about..they wanted me to stay for a minimum of 10-14 days..and had agreed on my release on the 'understanding' I was returning home to report to a hospital in England End of the county game didn't have a clue where I was or how I'd got there ...then when it dawned on me a mate had given me a lift totally clueless about where he'd parked, or what his car was..funny now not at the time
