Never seen that happen before Pretty impressive strike rate that by Adam even if it is at SPL level. Good luck to him

Knowles-has Louis Moult been released? Sorry for going off-topic.
Always liked Rooney, good strike rate, probably found his level.

I was looking at his stats (on Football 365) and noticed that although he was the club's top scorer he hadn't scored since Christmas! The story above suggests he probably hadn't started many games since Christmas - although he did start their last game.
Incidentally the Football 365 stats also show the crowds for each game - and they shocked me. 3,000 for some games with just 7,000 for the "big" games against Rangers and Celtic! Much of Scottish football must be in a bad way if Top flight teams can get such low crowds. And yes, I DO know that Inverness isn't a large place.

John- he didn't start their last match. He was an unused sub last night in their 2-2 draw.

I think he started against Motherwell last night but didn't score. He is the best striker that Inverness have even though he hasn't started many games, I think it might have something to do with Terry Butcher being in charge up there but who knows. ??? Lakeland Their ground can only hold 7,750 as it was only built in 1999, saying that though the 2 Inverness teams only merged in 1994 so it's a damn good effort theyre in the SPL me thinks. Good luck to Mr. Rooney !

Good luck to Mr. Rooney ! I wasn't knocking Cally. They have done well to get where they are. It was more a comment on Scottish football where the TV money is so much lower than in England. It is a sobering thought that a team in the top flight in England with low crowds still gets £30 million from TV rights and merit payments even if they finish bottom. Clubs like Cally must really struggle to pay wages and transfer fees on crowds of 5,000 with much less TV money.

Andy Barrowman - Shite Gary Wood - Not bad for a youngster Filipe Morais - Decent player but playing a CM up top isn't very wise ! Adam Rooney - Top scorer in both charts, quite young, good pace and finishes well. Hardly get's a start. ???

Not sure I agree with your comment about Rooney having pace, Inverness Stokie. It was lack of pace which always seemed his achilles heel when he played for us. He could certainly finish and he had a knack of getting on the end of crosses but his pace was very poor for one so young.

I guessed that from the comment before Lakeland, it is quite sad that they struggle to find any money for transfers, which is probably why half of the side is on loan. The reason for the low crowds though is that nearly everyone supports Celtic, Rangers or Aberdeen in those parts, they will get their kids to follow the same sides as them.

I didn't realise that glory hunting was a problem in places like Inverness. Well, the glory hunters will only have themselves to blame if clybs like Cally, go to the wall through lack of support. Maybe the glory hunters will feel a bit daft if their teams find they have no one to play against.

Went into Debenhams in Inverness a few years ago and was unimpressed that there were massive displays of both Rangers and Celtic merchandise but only one tiny stand of ICT replica shirts. Just been looking at the stats and average home attendance for the big two added together (107,049) this season is only a few percent below the other 40 Scottish league grounds added together (117,172.) Only 2 teams in the third division average over 500 a game

I went to ICT's home game v Motherwell in February and Rooney came on as a sub. He looked short of pace (maybe because he's short of first team football?) and missed two sitters. He looked an average player in a team of very average players.

He is clearly a goalscorer, thought that after that hat trick at Brighton.

Didn't he score 5 in 3 at the end of that season? I thought he'd have started for us that following season, sign him up Tone

I always liked him, I thought he was going to be the business the way he started for us, but int he end I think he just lacked a little quality. I watch out for Inverness scores now though, I hope he does well for the rest of his career.
