According to my Dad's mate (he's a joiner), there's been a verbal agreement between Pulis and Moutinho and he'll be signing for 17 million euros at the end of the season from Sporting Lisbon.
His name is John and he's 'in the know' so it could well be true, i'm taking it with a pinch of salt myself though.
If this is true i'll be ecstatic. Very good player and just what we need. Everton have been heavily linked with him in the past.
What do you reckon?

Graham Hyde failed a secret medical in about 2003, that's why the move fell through. They were going to unveil him but couldn't due to his recurring knee problems he picked up when playing for Bristol Rovers.
Would have been a cracking signing at the time.
As for Moutinho, i'm hoping that'll be the 'big name'.

I think the biggest flaw in this rumour is the fact that I doubt he'd swap Lisbon for Stoke-on-Trent.

Looking on his profile, he was born in Fegg Hayes. We might be in with an outside chance.

Joao Moutinho? --> Stoke? You must be having a badger there Mr. Hyde ;D He's renowned as a top-class player, who's been linked with some big money moves to top clubs in the past. Everton being the latest of course. There's no chance that he'd ever think about coming to Stoke tbh Graham. I would love you to be right but inevitably, this will never happen. Not sure where John's got his information from mate but nope, he'll end up at some top European club (apart from Stoke ). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo%C3%A3o_Moutinho

I would be stunned if Everton signed him, let alone us!

I would be stunned if Everton signed him, let alone us! True, but don't forget, Everton are now considered a so called 'BIG CLUB' nowadays, who have appeared in Europe for quite a few seasons. Don't forget also that they've got some quality players running all the way through the team, albeit with a fairly small, limited budget. So yeah, to a degree I see what you're saying but surely European football with an English premier league team, who have just reached the final of the FA Cup would be quite tempting... Much more so than Stoke anyway

Didn't Everton offer something like £14m for him last summer and they turned it down flat?
