Apologises if someone's brought this up already, but I haven't posted for a while and having had a quick scan through the first couple of pages I can't see a reference - anyway bin it if necessary.
The point of my post is on Saturday (or was it Friday evening) on Radio 5 Live before the match, Tango had challenged his players to finish top of the Stoke Dull Brazil mini league of the newly promoted clubs, just the way he said it was annoying by the way.
Well here are the facts in matches between the 3 clubs: Stoke 10 pts Dull 5 pts Brazil 1 pt
How right Mr Brown was, finishing top of that league, has had a significant impact on our season.
Massive congratulations to all those connected to Stoke City on a fantastic season, to Tony Pulis and his staff, Peter Coates, the players and the wonderful fans, absolutely brilliant, you just can't wipe the smile off my face.
I live too far away these days, plus with work commitments on Saturday, to get to see many games. I did manage to get to the Portsmouth game (not the best!) and I am delighted that there will be more chances to watch Stoke in the top flight, after waiting like so many on here for so long.

We are also top of the "Midlands League" !! Normally Smudge publishes a Midlands League in the Oatcake but, presumably because there are only 3 clubs in it this season, he hasn't bothered.
For what it is worth - with 10 points we are top of that league as well - with 2 wins against the Baggies and a win and a draw against Villa. Anyone know the results of the two Villa - Baggies games so we can work out how many points they got?

Thank you, very illustrative and informative. But, doesn't this go to the core of TP's strategy? TP failed to bring in the class players he needed. Plan B was to bring in professional, committed players who could get the results we needed against the bottom clubs e.g. Wigwam, West Brazil, Notlob, Dull, Messyboro, Pittsmouth, Blunderland and messiahcastle.
A very clever strategy? I like TP, I think he is more shrewd and clever than some people realise?

If we can beat Wigwam and finish 11th we would top the " bottom half" of the table. Now that really would be an achievment.

If we can beat Wigan and Arsenal and Man City don't get another point we can finish 10th - bottom of the "top half" of the table! ;D

How does that work then? Will we be relegated?
