I'm with the council on the windbreak, you wouldn't want any advertising tarnishing the majestic views of the incinerator and the A50.

Hopefully that Kevin Tosser or whatever his name is will now crawl back under his leafy stone in Trent Vegas.

Am I the only person on this board to be worried about the great crested newts and the birds who will forget when night falls because of the lights? ;D

Nice one Momo. And thanks again for alerting me to that cheeky 8/1 on Hull, Boro & Albion. I may owe you a pint mate come the end of may....
No doubt the fucktards at the Sentinel are already sharpening their pencils to spout vitriol about how the council favour Stoke again.

Am I the only person on this board to be worried about the great crested newts and the birds who will forget when night falls because of the lights? ;D its okay because stoke have permission to use specially blacked out bulbs so it won't disturb them! I believe they'll be installed as soon as the work experience lad gets back from b&q with the left handed screwdriver and tub of elbow grease. ;D

The news that the Premier League are adopting rules on home grown players from 2010 makes this type of investment vital to our future.

I haven't been over to look yet, but I'm sure the regulars on OVF are apoplectic with the news that the Council wouldn't give Stoke permission to advertise on the windbreak.

This is the direction in which the Premier League will have to go, whether voluntarily or due to government or Fifa pressure. The sooner we invest the better, so this decision is great news for the future.

training ground = fantastic news
windbreak = fantastic news. Who the f*** had this idea? So small-time it's untrue. We need to take roofs and the like off to make the Brit even more unpleasant, not mollycoddle away teams and those Stokies who are nesh.

excellent news re training ground....important to ensure that some ( indeed a fair bit )of the prem / coates money goes into the infrastructure of the club as a whole.
The club seems to be making the right sort of noises and moves all round at present

Stoke-on-Trent Council strike again.
The council that turned down permission for an Asda store by the Vic to condemn us to 23 years in the Dark Ages only for Newcastle to give permission further along the A500.
Now SOT Council refuse permission for a bit of tarpaulin next to the incinerator whilst Newcastle give permission for a major building project on green belt land.
I would like to thank Newcastle council for going out on a limb here (although the proposal has now been called in by the Government Minister). Your support of the club is appreciated by us all.
Although I don't want the windbreak, I would like to say thanks for nothing (again) for the idiots in Stoke-on-Trent. I suppose I will soon be getting further electioneering leaflets from my local MP and councillors with glossy photos taken at the Brit shaking hands with the players. Grrrrrrr!!!

spot-on March, yet the folk of SOT keep voting these clowns in.
How about a 0% turnout next time to show just what we really think of how they run our city?

Why would putting adverts on a windbreak be any different to advertising anywhere else?
I can't see ANY reason for the council to reject it!
